Mr. President, Sir,

On behalf of the Officers of the Confederate States Army of Tennessee I wish to extend my sympathy to you personally, to the Union Army General in Chief, General Johnson, and the Officers of the Union Army, on the loss of your comrade in arms, General Walt Dortch. It was with great shock and sadness I learned of his passing.

May he Rest in Peace.

Sad news. Very shocked and sorry to hear about this. I was engaged in a MP game with Walt so I know this was unexpected.

I served on the ACWGC Cabinet during General Dortch's term as Club President. He was a strong leader and took initiative, always striving hard to improve the club. He will be missed.
