I've got a couple of friends participating, Virginia infantry and cavalry, I was planning on heading over on weekend but with todays temps at 101 with a heat index of 114 (over 75 percent humidity) and more of the same for tomorrow I decided to wimp out.
Looks like at the reenatment site they have decided to end each days program at 2 PM due to the heat.

At 10 PM here it was still 90 degrees.

My coworker and I were going to go, he's an ex marine and was gung ho to go, I didn't want to die from heatstroke! Our other coworker a good ole boy from Kentucky and ex-sailor told me that he'd wouldn't want to see the war claim another good German lad. (Some here might disagree.... :wink: )

In short, they are charging $40 + $2.31 fee for bleacher tickets & $24 = $1.31 for standing tickets for the 2 1/12 hr deal in 115 degree temps tomorrow. I thought about Sunday when it was only going to be 92, but cash is a little low, otherwise I'd go....

So I had to let the Marine down with the promise we'd go to Antietam when it'll only be 85 or so.... :mrgreen:

If anyone has some good photos of the event i would like to see them I may be able to convert them and place them as unit icons in the games.
