For those of you who like to explore what's available in the way of Civil War period re-enactment or collectable items, take a look at http://www.ushist.com/. But a word of warning: once you start you may not be able to stop!

The actual physical store, the Pair-O-Dice Mercantile, is located out here on the west coast in the small, picturesque, gold mining town of Paradise, California. But the owner has contacts with various outlets and fabricators all over the country.

What? I live only 15 miles away and never heard of the place. Guess where I'm going?

Sir,

That was well worth the price of admission. Thank you for the link.

Regards,

Went by the shop today and it was closed. :( It sits in the back of an existing store so it probably doesn't get much traffic. I'll try again tomorrow morning. I peeked in the window and there were uniforms, books, etc. straight out of the 19th century.
