Gentlemen,
Having recovered from my recent defeat at Wagram, I am ready to return to the field - this time at Bautzen, 1813. The scenario is:
M15_045 – Bautzen: Schwarzenberg to the Rescue! (Variant 2).

An alternative setup where Austria does not hesitate to enter the War earlier and part of the army arrives in time to interfere with the Spring Campaign. Schwarzenberg brings roughly 45,000 men - not enough to decide the battle but enough to balance out:

180,000 French/Allied against 140,000 Coalition.

On paper, this should be comfortable for the Emperor. In practice a good portion of the French infantry consists of fresh conscripts not yet entirely familiar with the concept of standing under fire. Opposing them is a Coalition force that may be smaller, but with stronger cavalry and artillery.

The battlefield is wide and the scenario is 104 turns long, giving both sides time and space to deploy, to maneuver, to misjudge and - if necessary - to readjust. I suspect this is a scenario with to be failed plans for both sides and the interesting part will be what happens after the first one fails.

I am happy to take either side – you get to choose.

Looking for an experienced opponent willing to play this through to its natural conclusion without panicking after the first setback or when the initial plan runs into reality.

A steady flow of 2-3 turns per week would be ideal, not to drag this into 2027.

My usual house rule:
* no unlimbered artillery in obstructed terrain hexes.
Other than this – anything goes and what ever makes you winning.

In addition, given both sides have perfect knowledge of reinforcement time and location, I suggest avoiding approaches within 25 hexes of entry points to prevent unrealistic ambushes.

My usual optional rules:

Very quick response from one brave LGA volunteer willing to take command of the French army - now closed.
