Napoleonic Wargame Club (NWC)

I am a newly assigned Ensign seeking a French opponent for a short to medium length battle. I have very limited HPS experience, but would prefer to learn as I play. Please respond if interested with a suggestion of the scenario you are interested in as I am unfamiliar with the scenarios in the HPS system.

Guten Tag. If you can't find a Frenchman to oppose you, I would be happy to oppose you in an exercise. While I have been in the club for a couple years, I too am quite new to the HPS system, having just obtained Waterloo. An excellent scenario for that is "Mons". You however, did not specific which game(s) you have. Obviously, if you do not have Waterloo, then my previous offer becomes moot. Willkommen zur brigade.

Danken sie, Herr Davis. I do appreciate the offer, but I am particularly seeking a French officer so that I can obtain the full OBD points rather than having them halved. You are entirely correct, I should have specified which games I own. A part of the learning curve I suppose. I own all BG and HPS titles. There are several that I have never loaded onto my computer, but that can be easily rectified.

My suggestion would be that a potential opponent select any scenario they desire to play since I am not familiar with the scenarios at all. I will then choose the side I would like to play after which we come to some agreement as to optional rules. This should help keep the battle relatively balanced, except for my unavoidable lack of HPS experience. I would generally prefer not to play with an abundence of rules beyond what the HPS system will allow. My goal is to learn the HPS system and gain full OBD points if possible. Wins and loses will fall where they may.
