I'd like to try Alternate (balanced) Hasslach - Jungingen (or any small - till 30-50 turns)scenario from the new "Austerlitz". Extremely historical way is preferable.
My only rules are my Realism & Historicity Home Rules:
1. Command-control:
All NEW moves and maneuvers may be started only after getting the order from Commander, and with presence of a leader (Brigade Leader opens move of his Brigade, Division Leader - of his Division etc. etc., the leader must be with a leading unit herewith);
2. March Order:
a) No unit stacks on the road march;
b) Cavalry Regiment may moves along ways only by Squadrons, and by Sqns and Divisions (2 sqns) elsewhere;
3. Battle Order:
a) no more than 8 guns in one hex (1Battery + 1Btn./or 1Sqn. in Column is possible);
b) no more than 1,100 infantrymen or 250 horsemen in one hex;
c) no more than 300m (3 hexes) between a Skirmish chain and the parent Brigade in the open fields;
d) no Infantry units in Line order in Village/Town, Forest/Orchard hexes;
e) only Light Artillery (till 6pdr.) may be positioned in Village/Town hexes, and only in the village/town edge hexes, or in road hexes inside the village/town;
f) only Regimental Artillery may be positioned with Infantry in Line order;
g) Artillery Park must be positioned in the same hex or after their Battery.
4. Attack Order:
a) Infantry may attack with fire on ANY Cavalry only from the maximal range first, if the cavalry unit persist and do not leave their position then Infantry may attack from the minimal range;
b) Infantry may encircle an enemy unit only with coming on their flanks first, if the enemy unit do not retire then the infantry may encircle them completely;
c) disordered unit may attack/advance only with presence of a leader;
5. Infantry/or Artillery may not shot across their skirmishers are in front of the infantry/or artillery unit;
6. If any disordered/or routed/or isolated troops without a leader find themselves AFTER A MELEE behind the enemy's front line, they must to capitulate and draw themselves into a location indicated by an opponent;
7. Conquered and occupied hostile Objective points in towns and villages must have some garrisons (a troop/company of infantry or troop/squadron of cavalry, or a wagon-train);
8. Once a unit (except Guards) has lost 50% of their strength, it can no longer engage in offensive actions.
Plus the Embedded Melee rule.
