Greetings Gentlemen!

I'm throwing down the gauntlet! :) Seeking a brave Allied Officer who will face me on the fields of Waterloo for a Matrix Battle of Waterloo (Historical).

Here are the optional rules preferred:
Enabled:
- cavalry counter charge
- victory points for leader casualties
- rout limiting
- isolation rules
- extreme fog of war
- partial retreats
- flank rule modifier

Disabled:
- line movement restriction

And, here are the "house rules" I suggest:
- skirmishers remain within 3 hexes inclusive of parent
unit, unless in covered terrain
- infantry cannot form square unless enemy cavalry is
within 6 hexes
- cavalry cannot melee vs units in town, chateau, orchard or woods hexes
- no use of skirmishers, officers and/or supply wagons to close ZOC gaps for ZOC melee kills

My waltz card has one open space; the first to accept the challenge will receive a (virtual) bottle of Drambuie and a chivalrous but hard-fought fight. Vive la guerre!

Hi Zach! Tried to e-mail you, but spam blocker blocked me. :)

Well, a company called Matrix games has "fixed" the old _Talonsoft_ Napoleon in Russia, Prelude to Waterloo, and Waterloo to make them Vista-friendly, and has reissued them under their brand name.

I am an old player who recently returned after 7 years, and am playing these while I buy the HPS games and become familiar with them.
Thank you! When I buy the HPS Waterloo game, I will post again.

Drambuie. My late father liked Drambuie. Don't see it much these days. I have the old Tiller upgraded Waterloo. I think we can still exchange files if you so desire.

My only condition is no cavalry charges on the first turn. A few of Wellington's troops are a bit exposed.

If you are game send me your opening move at jgraswich@hotmail.com

If you are still looking for a Matrix BG game I am open for any. I don't have the matrix version but the BGs still work.
