Dear Gentlemen from my allies and enemies!

I've recently joined the NWC, kindly introduced by Generaal Andy Moss, and am eager to get some games going...I'm quite new to the HPS sims, but I'll certainly do my best to be a worthy opponent!
I own Austerlitz, Waterloo and Eckmuehl when it comes to the Napoleonics - I am open for any game with these, I can usually process one or more turns per day - depends on how many games I get to play [8D]

of course it would be a great honour to meet a French officer as my opponent on the field, but I would likewise be at least as honoured with any commander from the Coalition to play a maneuvre game - points are not everything after all [:)]
rules are open for discussion, though I prefer historical ones

see you on the field of glory!
Long live the King! (still having difficulty to adjust to this hail, as I'm Austrian, and I wouldn't want to shout "VIVAT Kaiser Franz" when being part of the Allied forces [:D] )

And what would be wrong with saying that? [:D]

Good luck finding a nice docile Frenchman! Rumor has it they have a -1 morale mod after the World Cup!

I do believe that at the moment they'd run away at the sight of any opposing force - I mean they were soundly defeated by South African militia [:D]

guess why I chose this day to ask for opponents? [8D]

Battle of Landshut, Silesia; Austria vs Prussia and Austria was the victor?

As a new Lt, please select the game, the scenario and the options.

I do not have an Austerlitz game going and I would like Auto Def Fire.

But, the other games are fine, also.

Mon Général,

Thanks for responding so quickly!

I'll have a look at the scenarios tomorrow, mainly Austerlitz or Waterloo....but as you said you had no Austerlitz games going, I'll try to find one there!
AutDef Fire is fine with me of course...

as to the battle of Landshut in 1760 in the Seven-Years war....indeed an overwhelming Austrian victory over the Prussians under General Heinrich August de la Motte Fouqué, who was outnumbered more than 2 to 1, and captured during the battle by the Jung-Löwenstein Chevauxlegers! - followed by the battles of Liegnitz and Torgau - soon after Austria lost Silesia for good in the peace-treaty...

looking forward to our battle

Regards,

But I want! I positively want!
To the good, old KUK Army - the most stubborn and hard-tempered foe of the Corsican Ogre, and the trusty ally:
Hoch Der Kaiser Franz! Lang Lebe Die Osterreich! Hochachtungsvoll![^]
Zum Henker diese Franzosen und Bayeren![:(!]

But why are you not a soldier of the doughty army of your Kaiser, my friend? Our Austrian brothers-in-arms so need fresh reinforcements...
I would regard it as an honour but all men of my kin always were obedient servants of the Russian Crown.
The British gold tempts you?[:I]

well, having served in the real Austrian army, I did, at least try to, uphold the honour of my country, and I joined the Austrian army over at the iNWC!

why did I join the Anglo-Allied forces? - simple answer - I was kindly introduced, trained and welcomed by a member of their forces and, after having thought for a short period for also joining the Austrian forces at the NWC, I thought it would be best to fight our common enemy, those frogs in blue, from two fronts....thus I joined two different armies!

I'll make it mandatory from now on to shout:

"VIVAT" and "Long life the King" right after one another...[:D]

at the NWC, think of me as an Austrian emigrant who has joined the forces in the army available to him to fight the common enemy!

regards and Hochachtungsvoll

PS: you're German is very good, or have you heard these sentences so often that you've learned them by hard? [:D]
