If you are interested in a multiplayer game of Leipzig operational we are seeking a senior allied officer to command the allied forces.

The ideal candidate has

A good winning record and ideally a senior rank
The determination to fight this long scenario over a period of time possibly exceeding a year (350 turns)
Be prepared to play a style that allows players flexibility and not endless debate about what is historical what is not.
10 Minute moves will be played
No embedded melee - however the 'no artillery blitz' house rule is likely to be used. (easy way to improve game realism without stuffing the flow)
optional rules pretty much the standard set from moe4
NME essential.
Played in a good spirit with role playing in the email exchanges encouraged.

I will command the French army. So you get some shiny Prussian medal if you win.....
Any takers?

Salute!

Colin,

A few questions:

What does "multiplayer" mean in this context?
How many players?
What's the role of commander?
What is the scenario? 075. Leipzig Operational?
Who are in the teams? Specially in the Allied.
Any constrains on the turnaround rate?

Yes, I would be interested in playing if the turnaround time is at least 2 turns a week. Otherwise no dice. It would drag on forever.

We playtested 074 a lot. 075 is very similar. The key for the game to be enjoyable is to have all players be good at doing their part of a turn in a timely fashion.

I have a strategy that cannot lose. Only if I have Paco commanding the Army of Silesia can it fail!

Anton and Bill are you proposing yourselves as a partnership vs my partner and I? By the way he may be an allied officer as I have friends on both sides of the fence.

If so the next step for a huge game like this is to agree some specific terms to avoid arguments and ensure compatilibility.
The last thing we want is 80 moves on the board and someone goes MIA because of a disagreement.

I propose a candid discussion and a mutual sign off of house rules. I play for fun not histriocity so I wonder if I am compatible with you guys. I am not saying either way is better I just want all who participate in this epic scenario to have fun.

As its a big commitment.

I would be glad to play in pair. Maybe we could use e-mail for further discussion?

Actually further note this scenarios victory conditions are confusing. Bill can you clarify (sorry me a bit dumb)

'Victory is determined who holds the victory objectives at the end of the scenario (more than likely the Allies), the net difference between losses and the net difference between the troops exited.'

So is this all just calculated as we go in the victory conditions or some manual agreement essential at the end?

I think I can answer this myself. Its all counted up under the normal automated system. This was just included to help people work out what they would need to do to win.
