Napoleonic Wargame Club (NWC)

I am excited to share with you the new incarnation of what started out as a humble alternative to the venerable WDS Menu application.

WarHQ is two things: a tool for easily managing your WDS games and now also a way to connect with other players and make it easier to play PBEM games.

WarHQ organizes your games by series and gives you access to playing, and getting to saves files and all the extra content quickly with a few clicks


WarMatch is an additional module in WarHQ that lets you chat, challenge friends to matches, and create/join games by posting exactly what you want.


The Dashboard gives you an overview of your active content, and clicking 'Play' gets you in the game, whether its a scenario or a campaign game, quickly. Finish your turn, close the game, and WarMatch will detect the save file and send it to your opponent.

When you finish, you can review your history of matches and your stats across your favorite series.

For Club Games: I prefer the Single Phase mode of play. I prefer to play with the following options OFF:

MDF, VP4LC, NRO, MTD, CMR, PR, MIM, NDM, OMR (ver 4.07)

Downloading now... Thanks for sharing - hope this can replace my routine of downloading PBEM files from my outlook which also does not recognise .bte and .cpf extensions so I have to type them manually every time.

This system totally sidesteps emails, which is its biggest shortcoming - both players have to use it.

I am looking at adding support for interacting with mail clients but theres a lot of "guess" work involved because of how files are named, different clients behave, etc, so it will ultimately still be somewhat manual.

Unfortuantely, how much I can do with your email account is limited unless I implement logging into your email properly, and that requires me to pay to have the application certified (thousands $$) so Google/Microsoft/etc. will allow me to distribute it to the general public - but I continue to pursue options via interacting with the installed email client.

You *can* configure a local folder/directory which the app will monitor and pick up turn files you drop in it and put them in the right place.

But, WarMatch is a one-stop shop - it can do everything without touching e-mail at all! But that requires both players to use it - chicken & egg.
