Hello Officers,

I'm wondering if it exists some extra tools around the HPS and TalonSoft games? Especially, I would be very interested in two simple tools, one that would log the battle results (losses, VP, ...) in a file and another one that would gather initial conditions of a battle (the order of battle, the map and theinitial deployment for example).

Thanks,

You can get the map and initial deloyment in the scenario editor. The OOB you can open up with any text editing program.

OK, thanks for the answer. [:)] but seems that there is nothing to dump the results of a battle ... [:(]

You can ever make a print screen of the game and copy it in a word file. I know it's not a solution but this will fix at least the result at a special moment.

It's a good solution and I've applied it ... so simple ... probaly too simple [:)]

It would be nice if the game developpers could insert such a tool in the games. I don't think it's too complex and it would be very nice [:)]

But do I want to bother John with it?

Using the pbemail.yyy file for your game you can easily write a Unix script that would pull the values out for you.

OR

Write a script in Visual Basic that would do the same.

When in doubt email your request to Rich at the Support desk and he can forward it on if he thinks John would do it. My guess is no but I have been on wrong on MANY occaisions! [:D]

Happy hunting.

cool [:)],

I can try something here. I was "quite" looking for a reason to play with Visual Basic (I'm beginner [:p]) :) Also I'll take a look at the unix script :)

I don't know what will be the result and how long it's going to take ... as I'm quite busy at home with our two kids (2 years old and 2 months old) but we'll see [:)]

Thanks a lot for your answer.
