Gentlemen:

The gods of war have spoken... Konstantin Koryakov of the Russian Army has emerged victorious in the final match of the NWC's 2005-2996 Master of Europe III tournament. Three cheers for Gen. Koryakov... Huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah!

General Koryakov defeated Eugene Gulyaev, also of the Russian Army, in a HPS Waterloo scenario.

General Koryakov joins Marechals Jeff Bardon and Tomasz Nowacki as champions in the Master of Europe Tournament.

Ooops. Seems I erased my own post; but in response to some of the posts below...

Seeding for the tournament has always been completley random -- just like in the World Cup football tournament. Choosing which side one commands is also random. If two powerful players meet in the first round then ... so what? Only one player will be left at the end. And I tend to think that the tournament has certainly selected some great champions.

Thank You, Gentlemen!
But I must say there are many excelent players in NWC who could to get title Master of Europe or take second or third place in this tournament. Regrettably some of them were met with strong enemy in the first round. As example - General-mayor Martin Butas (Rez.Korpus of Russian Army) - I had very hard and interesting game with him in first round.
What I mean? - I think we necessary to revise the principle of the shaping pair in this important tournament. No accidents but only the rating of the victories (the correlation of the victories and defeats). And in the beginning of tournament the most strong player will meets with the most weak.. etc. (but this is special theme and presently shall not be about it in detail)

And Many Thanks to managers and creators of the scenaries for MOE 3. All battle was different but all was balanced and interesting!

And the tournament MOE 3ended and Long Live the next tournament MOE 4!

I agree with Konstantin that we should prevent meeting of strong players in begining rounds of the tournament. Schema should be similar to ATP tennis tournaments where we have seeded and unseeded players, and seeded players can meet each other only in final stages of a tournament.

Bravo! Do I sense that the MOE is becoming more Allied these days.

As if we didnt know better! [:D]

Hmm, who will win the Super Bowl, er, MOE next year? The AFC, er French or the NFC, er Allies?

Good job all and a big thanks to Muddy for yet another fine tournament.

General Konstantin Koryakov

Sir:

The Crowns of Europe have directed me to transmit to you their applause on your string of outstanding victories in the third NWC Master of Europe Tournament. Having watched you vanquish every foe that came before you, the Royals stand, one and all, to salute your achievement and pronounce you, MOE III Tournament Champion. In honor of your victory the Crowns have forwarded to you this golden wreath -- as a symbol of your military prowess. Let it be known to all that the holder of the wreath is none other than the Master of Europe 2006.

To the victor go the spoils; hence the Crowns have directed me to award you an HPS Game and/or other small tokens as reward for your play.

I am Sir, Your obedient Servant

Sir Ken 'Muddy' Jones, KG
