Napoleonic Wargame Club (NWC)

I am playing the 388 turn Waterloo game and I have a bridge question. I have captured the bridges at Marchiennes and Chalet. I think my opponent has made an effort to destroy the bridge at Chalet. I have two questions:

1) At Marchiennes I can see the bridge strength number but cannot at Chalet even with units on the bridge. Why?

2) I have free passage at Marchiennes but at Chalet I cannot get cavalry across. This turn I moved several infantry battalions over that bridge with the strongest being 625 men. I moved cavalry up to cross and cannot even when broken to squadrons of 93 men. Why?

Cannot answer the firts question but the 2nd is easy enough

The HPS games now have specific bridge strength requierments before you can cross..

As I recall, cav requires higher values than infantry regardless of the size of the unit

Bridge values:

0-49 - noone can cross
50-99 infantry and leaders
100-149 cavalry
150 and up the rest
