Sir Muddy,

Thank you again for your efforts, but I would make a plea that in the remainder of the scenarios (assuming I survive the 1st round [:p]) you turn ON the "No Fire on Skirmishers" optional rule. It's not that I am overly concerned about the health of my skirmishers, but without that optional rule moving a leader into a stack invariably draws fire from every cannon in range[B)]!

Maybe some day John Tiller will fix that little problem. But I also hate to have hordes of skirmishers firing away at my lines with impunity. Perhaps when the numbers have been trimmed, I will allow the players to agree on a set of optionals. Maybe...

The problem is more or less "fixed" Muddy. John wanted it to be an optional rule and not set in stone. Not something you will see in the future.

There are other parts of the game like that where he left things as is but offered up an option for it. Knowing that players could complain the other way (they WANT officers to draw fire) this is the path that he takes with features now.
