Gentleman,

It has arrived! The 100 days campaign tournament 2009.

The French challenged the Allied a couple of weeks ago and of course the Allied army couldn’t refuse.
Once and for all we will decide which army is the strongest. We will do that on the field of battle.

This tournament is between French and Allied army only.

Honourable officers of both armies can NOW send in their letter of interest to join this great tournament.

Address this letter to:

Allied: Luitenant-Generaal Marco Bijl Marco@nvforest.com
French: Marechal Chuck Jensen 7985631jen@comcast.net

In your letter you state:
Your name, rank and position in the army.
And your 3 preferred scenarios (in order of importance).

This is you list to choose from:

The Battleground "Waterloo" engine (we play with vs 2.06).
• The Battle of Waterloo (historical) 44 turns.

The Battleground "Prelude to Waterloo" engine (we play with vs 2.04).
• The Battle of Ligny 28 turns
• The Battle of Quatre Bras 28 turns
• Battles of Ligny and Quatre Bras 28 turns

The HPS Waterloo engine (we play with vs 1.03).
• #9 Historical Ligny No fixed units 36 turns
• #19 Ligny and Quatre Bras I Corps variant release 36 turns
• #22 Quatre Bras Historical 36 turns
• #37 Historical Waterloo 52 turns
• #43 Waterloo and Wavre Variant 52 turns
• #44 Waterloo and Wavre Quick Response variant 52 turns

You may also ask to be part of the Multi player game, of which we play only one in this tournament.

After receiving your letter we will match you up with an opponent that has more or less the same rank and game preferences. Then we will report back to you, and place your game at the tournament website below.

Time
You send your letter by courier before 8-6-2009, 20.00 hours. That means that you have one week the time to brush your uniform, load your weapons, saddle you horse and report to the tent of the tournament commanders.

All details can be found at the special tournament website here:

http://home.scarlet.be/~tsh40803/Tourna ... 202009.htm

Read this carefully and see that you can win a special medal with this tournament!!

With honour and regards,

Luitenant-Generaal Marco Bijl
Marechal Chuck Jensen

Monsieur I like your rules but I don't think that they will be in use now I think we should have a choice to pick what rules we play under!

Gentelmen,

I like your idea and have dispatched my courier to participate. Bon chance!

Vladimir,

I like the look of your rules and would be keen to discuss them with you. With a little tweaking i would be interested in a game using them.

Oh man and here I listen to Harlan Howard's "Heartaches by the Number" look half those battles have Prussians in them!! [:)] Shame on you both!! [8D] Of course let the old men of the club battle it out...the AdN and AAA are yesterday's armies anyways...the AdR, Russians, Austrians rule these days...and us Prussians do our own thing...[:p][}:)]
