You do realise that hacking the engine & distributing copy rite files is against the law don't you? Its a direct breach of the HPS license agreement.

If it's hacking I can delete it.

Please, write me as I can make add-on without direct breach of the law.

Without exe- and dll-files?

I have changed the archive and wrote an instruction.

Yes we can sort of bear with the modules that work with an existing game engine but not the game engine itself.

That and the DLLs are also part of John Tiller's property.

You may create .scn, .pdt, .oob files and sure we know you can make the maps but we tolerate that part of it.

Yes, we would love to get a 1807 game out to you some day too!

But for now just stick to the .scn, .pdt, oob and .map files if you can.

Graphics that you create are fine or modify from the standard game. Please dont post an entire game's worth of graphics ...

OK
I have changed archive again. Now it without .dll and .exe files.

At the beginning I was making an add-on Jena. I had created .scn, .pdt, .oob and .map files. But after a change Leaders.bmp, I had maked add-on as Eylau Battleground - a single game.

I hope that now allright.

All the .bmp files are from the games too - with the obvious exceptions of the ones you have edited.

The basic point is we're OK with people making mods to run on one of our games - that a person has paid for and owns. No issue. But when a download is posted that is all inclusive - i.e. all they have to do is grab it and they have a running game - that cuts HPS out of the loop completely.

Understand, we do get that money is tight for everyone, but we're one of the very few companies that continues to provide value for our titles year after year once they are published - for free. And the only revenue stream we have to support that is sales of the complete games as they are released.

I appreciate your willingness to respond to my posting and alter your downloads. If all goes well you'll see a full game on the Eylau-Friedland Campaign before too terribly long.

It seems there is a demand for more Nappy product. Personally I am anxiously awaiting a game from either or both the 1803 and 1807 periods .

Hopefully these get to market soon
