Gentlemen

I am getting confused about the number of "Nappy" games on the market. I like Battleground and HPS and have a Matrix Game plus AGEOD. Taking all the Matrix games into consideration and knowing my preferance for battle field action how do they rate

Bruce - usually the strategic games are a bit weak on the battle engine. I have AGEOD and it calculates the battles apart from the players moving any troops or committing them on a battle board.

Empires in Arms was a bit bulky to play. Fine if played solitaire but too many emails back and forth between players.

The main thing about those strategic games is their diplomacy, finance, troop raising/deployment, etc.

Frankly I liked Frank Hunter's early games on 1806 and 1809 just as much as the newer ones.
