How many guys would be interested in a "Dynamic Campaign?"

This campaign would build in one direction as each branch is played. I wouldn't have to build a huge octopus of a campaign!

You would tell me which direction you want you army to go - I would build that "Choice" and then compare it to the one that the other side makes. I would email you campaign maps and known locations of the enemy along with where you want your troops to be located. The picture you get would be much more than you would get in the small picture you see in our campaign dialog screens.

Once both players make their choices I would run the choices in the campaign file and then send the First Player side the game file. (no - it wont be encrypted - it will be a .cpf file type)

It would be dynamic as the players would determine where they want to go.

Troop march order and so on could be arranged as part of the scenario build.

Future branches would then be built as the campaign progresses.

I am not ready to do such an undertaking but want to know if anyone is interested.

Frankly I think that these would be great army challenges. Each member could command a wing in the campaign. When their wing is present then the play the in the scenario. The losses that the wing suffers would be their own doing. Not as part of another battle where they had no control over it.

Thus for Jena one player could command the V and VI Corps when they are present. An Allied player could command Brunswick's army. For battles where the others are not present he would be the only player. Other members of the MP team would play as their formations are part of the scenario.

If anyone wants to host something like that let me know and I will give you an outline on how to do it. The main thing is that the players do NOT advance the game to the next campaign branch. I would do that for them. Terminal Bids would be allowed of course. I would just do the advancing of the file for them.

Plan:
1. Pick players and theater (where we already have maps of course).
2. Pick size of forces. (based on numbers of participants)
3. CinCs determine march routes of troops based on map I prepare.
4. Both sides send me their march routes. I determine if a battle occurs.

Hypothetically its quite possible that we could have TWO battles going on at the same time and I would just fuse the results into the next branch.

I would love to be in that if it has the 30/40 Rule if strength for the allies goes lower then 40 % killed major defeat French lower then 30 % plus that goes for unit strength all unit's that are lower then their combat value most fall back and not be in any attacks.

I love the idea of campaigns, though I'm not an HPS player.

My other online club experience is at www.webandofbrothers.yuku.com which is a combat mission club. There, separate campaign or tournament forums can be set up with a general forum and one for each side. Is it possible for that to happen @ NWC or is the format not that plyable?
