If you had your choice would you prefer to see:

1. 1813 done in one title even if it means that development time is cut short and the historical element is weaker than if two titles had been done.

2. 1813 done in two games: Winter/Spring Campaign for one title (Campaign Bautzen?) and the Fall Campaign for the other (Campaign Leipzig).

3. Doesn't matter to me - I would buy it in either format. I just want to be sure that the game has good content either way.

Note: we did 1809 in two titles. The concern over 1813 is that the economy may not hold for two titles on 1813. This campaign has more content by far. If we do the campaign in one title just know that there would not be alot of what-if situations and that some of the scenarios would have to be hurried through the process.

Some might say: why not do 1807 in two titles - after all two books cover the campaign by some authors. I think that the objection would be that 1813 involves something like 30+ Major and medium sized actions (not counting about 20 more smaller actions) whereas 1807 only had about 10 of that size.

Two, if Napoleon would have won Bautzen Campaign then Leipzig Campaign probably would not have been fought. (Although, I think fighting would've recommenced in '14.)

I believe Austria would've come in on N's side, or remained neutral, and convinced Pru/Rus to agree to a six month or longer truce.

So, if a French player wins Campaign Bautzen, Campaign Leipzig doesn't happen, and if a French losses Campaign Bautzen there would be a need for Campaign Leipzig, and the armies would reorganize themselves to such a degree the campaigns wouldn't need to be linked, as was the case with Eckmuhl & Wagram.

I think two, and one for 1814, then two for the Peninsula, and the focus shifts to pre-1805, hopefully. [:D]

I agree with Al there should be two C/D's for 1813,(linked just as the 1809 C/D's are), however, I would like to see an 1807 CD before anything around Spain or pre 1805

I for one would have no difficulty in buying everything Napoleon you guys produce - each game just seems to get better tan he last one.

I agree with Al ref the two titles and not linked as Eckmuhl/Wagram. Both stand alone. I like the what if very much!

Then - Penninsular and I think you could do the whole period in one game cd (just). But two would be ok if you had to.

Then - 1809!!

I agree 1813 Germany campaign needs two titles. I think Leipzig would be more interesting for most people.

Bill, thanks for asking!

I, too, would agree with two titles for 1813.

Again, realize that we do not want to nickel and dime you guys. Which is why I am posting this here primarily. We are all short of funds (well except for Ernie who has his military pension and dancing girls [:D]). This has been excellent feedback. I appreciate your comments on this subject. I am leaving this thread open for further response to the poll. If you feel against this concept speak up. On the other hand you have seen the amount of work I did on the Austerlitz scenarios, etc and know that I wont give you a weak title.

Cliff - 1814 would be its own game but it would include the Italian Campaign of 1813. I also would add a "surprise" campaign to it as well. Probably the Russo-Swedish War of 1808-09. Or something like that.

There were alot of battles for 1814 (and this would not be the British vs. French of the Pyrenees either - that would get covered in the Peninsular Wars game). More than I had originally noted.

The Battle of Paris is often overlooked too.

I can get my hands on an entire set of topo maps for France so you can figure that anything I do in that title will be done on my usual grand-stay up til 3am making maps-scale. This will not be a few battles and thats it. I will include many engagements and campaign files.

Splitting it into two Bill would be better.
