NWC players looking for extras for Les Grognards should visit this site: http://www.guggs.de/hwlg/

All hail to those who have created it, it seems to have kicked in as a good source of materials getting built around Les Grognards by www.histwar.com. Since the release a month and a half back, a bunch of players have created scenarios, maps (& map-packs), improvements in the GUI (which I now use -- a nice green Russian one! :P ) and much else. Peruse at your leisure. :D

<hr noshade size="1">
and in the OoBs, thus far, the following OoB files have been created in LG format (no mean feat!):

<i>oBs for 2 battles in july 1815:

In France:

- Hausbergen
- Strasbourg

OoBs for one clash in june 1815, some bigger and more important battles are added later.

In France:
- Suffelweyersheim

OoBs for 2 battles in may 1815:

In Italy:
- Scapezzano
- Tolentino

OoBs for one battle in april 1815:

In Italy:
- Modena

OoBs for one battle in april 1814, later I'll add Toulouse and Bayonne:

In Italy:

- River Taro (Yes, it's the prodigal Murat commanding Austrians!)

OoBs for 7 battles in march 1814, later more:

In France:

- St. Julien
- Laubressel
- Craonne
- Macon
- Limonest
- Arcis-sur-Aube

In Italy:

- Monzambano

OoBs for 3 battles in february 1814, later more:

In Italy:

- Mincio river

In France:

- Montereau
- 2nd Bar-sur-Aube

OoBs for one battle in january 1814, later more:

- Bar-sur-Aube - 1st, smaller clash

Note that there is a graphic bug concerning the Dragons de la Jeune Garde (They forgot their horses). However, this does not affect gameplay, but 3d-appearance only.

OoBs for one small clash in december 1813.
Italy:

- Boara

Later I'll add Sehestadt and Bayonne.

OoBs for 4 battles in november 1813. Later I'll add Nivelle river.

In Germany:

- Schönebeck
- Hochheim

In Italy:

- Caldiero (once more)
- San Michele

OoBs for one battle in 0ctober 1813, more are added later:

- Hanau

Some notes:
The editor doesn't provide Bavarian landwehr units. I chose Austrian landwehr and changed their nationality to Bavaria. So they have wrong uniforms but behave correctly: poor.
The Bavarians and Austrians used up much of their cannon ammunition before the battle. That's why they're short on guns.

OoBs for 3 battles in August 1813:
Saxony/Silesia:

- 1st Pirna, 22 august
- 2nd Pirna, 27/28 august
- Plagwitz

More are added later.

OoBs for 2 battles in may 1813:

- Königswartha
- Reichenbach

Later are added Lützen, Weissig, Bautzen and Hoyerswerda.

OoBs for 6 battles in november 1812.
The bloody retreat from Russia:

- Wiasma
- Axenzi
- Smoljaentzi
- Wolkowysk
- Krasnoi
- Berezina

Units are very depleted. Prepare to fight with regiments of 300-400 men.

Here are OoBs for the 6 battles in october 1812, all in Russia:

- Muchaviec river
- Biala Podlaska
- Winkowo
- 2nd Polotsk
- Malojaroslavetz
- Tschaschniki

OoBs for 3 battles in september 1812. When the Prussians are available I'll add Mesoten and Lautschkruge.
The Russian campaign:
- Schewardino
- Borodino
- Moshaisk

Notes about Borodino: The Imperial Guard (beside the light cavalry) is not present in the OoB. Digby Smith doesn't list them because they didn't actually take part in the fighting and my french army already has 100 units. Adding the Guard would mean that I had to delete units that did fight to include others who didn't.
The Russians have only 316 guns. Smith says that the great majority of the Reserve artillery (300 guns) was not employed at all, that's why I didn't include them.
Some units are not in the database. I had to do some workarounds:
- Mecklenburg bataillon is represented by renamed lower quality french infantry.
- The Spanish Joseph Napoleon regiment is represented by some look-alike troops (actually Neapolitan line with changed uniform colors and nationality set to "France")
- The Russian militia is represented by renamed Russian marines because these are the only Russian infantry units with just "good" quality, all others are better (and so too good). I hope that the militia will be available sometime.

And here are OoBs for the 7 battles in august 1812.
The Russian campaign:
- Golovchtchitzy (don't break your tongue )
- Swolna
- Gorodeczna (The Saxon armys finest hour)
- Krasnoi
- Polotsk
- Smolensk
- Valutina Gora

OoBs for 4 battles in july 1812.
The Russian campaign:
- Saltanovka
- Ostrovno
- Jakubovo
- Kliastitzy

Later to be added: Eckau and Salamanca.

OoBs for one battle in november 1809:
- 4th clash at Berg Isel - the last stand of Andreas Hofer's Tyrolians.

Later the battle of Ocana, Spain will be added.

Here are OoBs for 5 battles in july 1809. Later the battle of Talavera, Spain will be added.
Austrian-Moravian theater:
- Wagram
- Korneuburg
- Hollabrunn
- Schöngraben
- Znaim

Some notes on Wagram. This battle is simply EPIC. The French have a CEH of 271, that's more than 90% of the biggest army the editor would allow. However because of this size it was not possible to retain the original Order of Battle, even by regrouping regiments to brigades it would have been more than 100 units per side.
That's why I regrouped the units of similar type (line, light, Landwehr...) within the same corps to giant "regiments", most of them having 4800 men each.
So it was possible to give the historical number of infantry, cavalry and artillery (expect many guns!) to every corps.
HAVE FUN!!

OoBs for 6 battles of june 1809. Later to be added are the battles of Maria de Huerve and Belchite in Spain.

In Austria:
- Klagenfurt
- Graz-St. Leonhardt

In Poland:
- Jedlinsko
- 2nd battle of Sandomierz

In Hungary:
- Papa
- Raab

And here are OoBs for the 12 battles that took place in may 1809. Note that this is only the Habsburg insurrection, Iberian battles (Grijon, Oporto, Pomar, Alcaniz) are added later.

In Italy:
- Montebello -> Please note that this is the historical clash in northern Italy on 2 may 1809 and is in no way related to the fictional Montebello scenario that comes with the game.
- Piave river
- San Daniele del Friuli

In Austria:
- Ebelsberg
- Linz
- Aspern (Biggest battle so far. Combined CEH-total on both sides = 290!)

In Tyrolia:
- Söll
- St. Michael
- Berg Isel -> There were multiple skirmishes between the Tyrolians and Bavarians. This one took place on 29 may.

In Dalmatia:
- Mount Kita
- Gracac

In Poland:
- Sandomierz

And here they come: OoBs for 12 battles in April 1809.

In Italy:
- Sacile
- Soave
- Castelcerino

In Bavaria:
- Hausen-Teugn
- Arnhofen
- Abensberg
- Landshut
- Eggmühl
- Regensburg
- Neumarkt-St. Vieth

In Poland:
- Raszyn --> There is a small problem with Poniatowsky's flag not appearing in 2D-mode. Bug is discussed here: http://www.histwar.org/forum/index.php/ ... 156.0.html Playability is nevertheless fine.

In Dalmatia:
- Zermanja river

OoBs for three of the six battles in june 1807:
- Lomitten
- Guttstadt
- Friedland

Note that I'm going to add Heilsberg, Königsberg and Glatz once the Prussians are available.
The French are very strong at Friedland. Regiments and batteries are regrouped because of the 100 unit limit. I'm especially fond of this OoB because I see some of my fellow Saxons on the field of honour

The 4 battles that took place in february 1807.
East Prussian theater:
- Hof
- Eylau
- Ostrolenka
- Braunsberg

Eylau is really big! Regiments are regrouped to brigades because of the 100 units per side limit.
I had to substitute the Prussian Towaroczys (not yet available) by Russian lancers. Don't wonder about the wrong uniforms.
Battle of Braunsberg was commanded by a Prussian general. The editor doesn't allow Prussian CiCs, thats why he wears a Russian uniform.

One battle in January 1807:
- Mohrungen, East Prussia

OoBs for the three battles that took place in december 1806.
Polish theater:
- Czarnowo
- Pultusk
- Golymin

OoB for December 1805
Another update for my Austerlitz OoB.
Corrected two errors. Thanks to Count von Csollich for pointing these out.

The 2 battles for november 1805:
Austrian theatre:
- Dürnstein
- Hollabrunn

OoBs for the six battles of october 1805:
In the Danube valley:
- Wertingen
- Günzburg
- Haslach -> with updated command structure for the Austrians
- Elchingen
- Herbrechtingen

In Italy:
- Caldiero</i>

Yes, there is plenty of support for this game. Just have to try and keep a place where the most recent version is posted.
