Nope, not disagreeing that they idea of publicly discussing our games is wrong or should be discouraged. Perish the thought. I will continue to participate as long as the discussion doesn't get harsh.

Just adding in some comments of my own. Mainly that we have been doing these games for 10 years (well, the development of EC/WC started in 1999).

... because of the way we (the players) play the game. Its as simple as that. We can make rules, design scenarios, make engine changes, etc. but as long as we (the players) throw the entire army at the other fella(s), then the game will lack that "historical flair".

Yes, Ken, good point. I enjoy my games alot more because I am not tossing everything at the enemy.
