Gentlemen Officers:

It is with great pride that I offer a toast to our Hanoverian Ensign, Jeff Glazier, in his first victory over a French opponent. No doubt our benevolent Commander in Chief, Lt. Generaal Bijl, will pin the Military General Service medal upon his chest for his great gallantry in action.

I also offer a toast to the valiant French officer who was defeated on the field, for he is personnally known to me to be a gentleman of great honor.

To victories and defeats, and all the trappings of rank, medals and wisdom that accompany them. May every officer be covered in glory!

God save the King!

For Club Games: I prefer the Single Phase mode of play. I prefer to play with the following options OFF:

MDF, VP4LC, NRO, MTD, CMR, PR, MIM, NDM, OMR (ver 4.07)

As I finish quaffing my fifth drink of the evening, quietly sitting in the corner of the tavern, my commanding officer stands up and from across the room announces my recent victory on The Ridge.

First (realizing that I’m thinking in the first person, which seems uncommon around here), I give a smile, a little embarrassed from all the attention, then I choke from surprise and spit my drink all over the guy passed out at the table next to me.

“What is this I see?!? LIEUTENANT COLONEL Jones? Well, sir, apparently you have been busy yourself while I was defending The Ridge. Congratulations on your well deserved promotion. I am very proud to serve under you.”

That being said, I thank everyone for their kind words, then after a moment of silence, “General Moss is correct, however, I have much to learn about battle if I’m going to help make an impact in this war. My very worthy opponent cut a lot of good men and horse down in achieving this victory.”

“A toast to General Sands. It’s leaders like him that make this damnable war Hell on the alliance.”

Besides, I just wanted another drink anyway, even if it means buying a round for a froggy.
