Ed,

From the pace of your retreat, I can understand how disoriented you must feel. That is a quite an interesting daydream you've concocted to protect yourself from the reality of the situation. The truth is that a single squadron of hussars has cleared the road to Jena and sent the vaunted Prussian horse scrambling.

Cheers!

Sir Muddy and Bill
I would be happy to show you the sharpness of my sword again soon. You do me much honour as does General Leglesswig. :o

However I am currently locked in mortal combat with FM Lucky Jim Hall on the fields of Borodino and I expect I shall have my hands very full for now.

I am sure Marechal Bardon can cut you to pieces in the meantime if you need a game

As you can see Obersty Peters I continue to play only the best allied officers. Which I for one do not consider hiding, on the contrary in fact.

I would observe allied officers seem to do a great deal of talking which I would also observe is cheap.

Sir Muddy I exclude you from this observation. Your reputation and horse are renowned. 8)

Still cowering eh? :P

Borodino? Takes about 10 mins. to do a turn for a good French move. Anything after that is pure mental waste!

Considering your lowly rank sir you must wait to feel the cold steel of my blade which you most certainly will
I shall contact you after Easter to see if we can agree rules for a game of Austerlitz historical 10min 66 move.
Helga a cup of tea here for the impatient Prussian.

M. Bardon:

Perhaps if that squadron of French hussars bothered to look behind them, they would discover that the rest of the French army has not bothered to follow them. It seems that Napoleon and his minions have either taken a wrong turn or gotten lost in the Prussian woods. Not the most dramatic way to start your invasion. Regardless, when the French army does find its way, the Prussian army will be ready to show them the way home.

Best of Luck,

I'll grant that the quality of roads in Prussia is rather poor, something that will be addressed once we have installed new leadership in Berlin, but I will remind you that economy of force is a virtue. One squadron is sufficient, therefore one squadron was dispatched.
