If you are a fan of the Musket and Pike era then why wait? The Musket and Cannon Game Club has openings in our ranks for those that enjoy the battles of the 15th-18th centuries.
While the HPS/JTS Musket and Pike series will be the main games we support we also support the AGEOD Rise of Prussia game as well.
We currently have four armies so there are plenty of nations for you to choose from!
You can find the Join the Club form at:
http://pages.videotron.com/wargame/MAGC/join_club.htmlThe main club website is at the link listed on this forum.
Requirements: just be active in a game during the Muster Quarter to qualify. This means you can start up a game, complete a game or just be in an ongoing game sometime during the 3 month muster period. We make mustering simple: just be active and we will not pester you about your games. The CinCs look over your game records to check on your status. No muster emails. The commanders contact you on a regular basis to discuss the club and they always take time to ask about your personal life, work, hobbies, etc. If you are having problems understanding the game we are there to help.
We have Military ranks and Noble ranks. The former is a total of your Conduct and Battle points. The latter is based on your participation in the club which earns you Conduct points. Conduct points include mustering, website work, command of units/officers, tournament direction, etc. Also putting together graphics for the club or assembling lists of scenarios (Stefan Reuter did this for us). This is how we solve the dilemma of "why should a guy that only does Admin work and doesn't play in battles have such a high ranking in the club" or "why should someone in the club who only plays battles have such a high rank?" The Noble rank is a distinction all of its own and when a member is titled as a Baron or Count this tells us that he has been a major contributor to the club.
So come join the fun and hope to see you soon! Plenty of armies to choose from and the Scenario Designer (Rich White) of the Renaissance game is one of our army commanders (English)!
(this is a annual recruitment advertisement and will be my only post on this forum concerning the M&CGC - paid for by the Musket and Pike Preservation Trust)
