I would like one French member to assist me with Order of Battles for game design. Someone who is very familiar with the French army over the course of the Revolutionary to Napoleonic Wars.

There have been some questions in our design team discussions or in my own private musings that I think would best be determined if I had someone who was from France and knew the period well.

You would get a free copy of the game and have minimal playtest requirements in exchange for your help. Of course you could playtest as much as you want.

I also buy my guys a book for helping me out. Nothing expensive but it is my way of saying thanks.

You must be responsive. If you go on business trips that is ok for sure. I just cannot have someone helping me out that disappears ....

I am looking for someone from France that knows the army of the period very well. Someone that has read over actual French archives or has sources that would help us out. I have Digby-Smith's work as well but frankly it cannot be trusted. In using it I always have several other sources available. I could give plenty of examples but that would more or less say what I am working on ... cannot give out titles at this point.

Thanks Al. I will check that out. Usually when a guy posts a book for me to look into it is either in German, French or is in English and over 100 bucks!

Oh, and meant to say that "I have Digby-Smith's Data Book which cannot always be trusted." I also have his Regimental series books on the French and Prussian armies. Good data in them. Especially when you need to give a name to a commander for a briagde where the regular brigade commander was wounded, etc.

Bill, I would be happy to help but being no 'expert' on the revolutionary wars, I doubt it (I don't have archives for one). But let me know, I am an avid reader and love a task.
I can also look for someone I know here in France. The guy might be able to help.
