What is the ammo depletion number you are using in your PDT file? I could not remember based on the PDT file I had.

My thinking is one way to stop units from engaging in combat for long periods of time is to increase the ammo depletion number. This will force units to pull back or go to the NO AMMO level which means that they rout easier.

For me this is more realistic than lowering the morale levels to accomplish the same end.

Comments?

We kept the same parameters as in the original PDT.
Reducing the chance of running out of ammo is worth investigating and can lead to good outcome. However, HPS infantry’s mostly rely on melee not firefight hence on its own this change is unlikely to improve the quality of simulation.

Having said that, reducing ammo supply and increasing the chance of running out of ammo can have a positive impact if combined with some stuff we implemented already (e.g. negative melee bonus used in H&R ).
Needs investigation.

Thanks Alexey. You guys are going in a different direction than me but I appreciate your willingness to consider using a higher ammo depletion number. I am thinking that x2 would work - 8%.
