Of course, Field Marshall Blackburn would never lie. Some slight exaggerations, misconstrued comments and the odd bald-faced falsehood aside that is.

I am certain that Lt. French will no doubt be doling out his own lessons in battlefield conduct, soon enough.

In the meantime, I have to get back to Leipzig, where I have recently concluded one costly exchange in lessons with MG Jones and am enduring an epically bruising contest with FM Blackburn.

Welcome Lieutenant,

it is nice to meet you here in the tavern. And it will be a pleasure to meet you on the battlefield.

You husars always look impressive when storming across the field. However, my men will stand and fight bravely. Maybe it wont look as impressive when your men turn round and take their chance in running.

But thats for tomorrow. The word for today: A la votre! Sante!

A salute to the esteemed Marechal Bardon! He is indisputably one of the finest Guards officers to serve in any army, not only for his masterful tactical ablities, but also for the great measure of his impecible character. :P :P :P

Helga, another round on Lt. French's tab, bitte. I find myself feeling a twinge of guilt at the huge number of men killed, and lost, in my recent struggle against this finest officer of France. :o :(

And a round for my superior officer, FM Blackburn, as well. For if he is indeed "epically bruising" the Commander of the Vieille Garde, he is going to need that drink. In my experience, it is quite dangerous to get close enough to Marechal Bardon to "epically' bruise him.
