In the Elba isle (Italy) on 3/5/2014 took place the commemoration of Napoleon disembark.

Salute!

I believe that Stefano Ciampoli has just been (or is now) to Elba to take part in a commemoration of this event.

Perhaps he will be able to share some pictures with us, like he did last year at the Leipzig anniversary.

Really? Where would the Wellington be without his Battle at Waterloo? I would say a mediocre general and the British would only be the Spanish Helpers!

I really think they should thank Napoleon for heading back to France!

Why Marechal Kling, the Duke of Wellington was a most masterful tactician. There is no question that he was one of the very best. Now, I do agree that he was not the most talented strategist, but it is well known that even the rumor of his presence within a hundred miles would make every Frenchmen treble in fear each time they approached the crest of a hill, utterly petrified with terror at what they might discover lying in wait on the other side.

The former Marquis of Anglesey was a very good general when on his preferred terrain, but Marlborough would have eaten him for breakfast (sticks tongue out at Colonel Baron Ellwood).
