Gentlemen

Should not Sappers/Pioneers be given extra powers when bridges are being destroyed.

What ever happened to their raft making skills :?:

Yes, I've always favoured pontoon bridges being built where you want if only to negate the standard tactic of sitting artillery behind broken bridges and then the tedium of trying to blast away at them. It would make the games more interesting and less predictable.

One thing Bill did in one scenario was create a bunch of broken bridges around the place to simulate bridge building ability.
Ie a work around. Thus giving to many bridges for opponents to defend and allowing engineers to build in various places.

I think this is the best solution with the context of the existing engine

The Six Days scenarios in Jena-Auerstadt are like that - depending upon the scenario played there are lots of bridges, or bridging sites, or no bridges at all.

Makes for a variety of situations from one version of that epic campaign scenario to another.

You can always use the scenario editor to add bridge sites.

I agree we need bridge building capabilities.

Scenario editor is too technical and tedious for we combat officers!

"Get me some of that bridging stuff!" :frenchcharge:

And they didn't have laptops back then to use the Scenario Editor in the field.
