Gents,

Looking at scenario 153. Talavera variant and I realise the stacking limits are reduced but the game will not allow an 8 gun battery in the same hex nor will it allow me to stack leaders or supply wagons with Cavalry units? Also the allied 6 gun hexes are "overstacked" and unable to fire?

Can someone enlighten me as to why or is this a real problem?

:frenchshock:

Thanks.

I remember picking this up during playtesting. Yes, a number of units start off overstacked - cavalry cannot charge for instance if overstacked; artillery cannot fire etc. It was simpler to alter the pdt but leave the scenario alone rather than alter the scenario as well. The first move or so sorts things out. So it's not a bug as such.

Leaders do not 'overstack' and artillery should still be able to get a full 8 gun battery in one hex surely? I have a British 5 gun bty in a hex with a leader and it will not fire even one gun!

However that's what I'm getting. Cannot even stack one leader with a cavalry unit once I move of that unit it is with.

So no I think its a real problem and will get hold of the support people.

Thanks

the largest Allied battery in my scenario 153 NPW is 3 guns....are you sure its scenario 153?

I am also able to stack Leaders with cavalry and wagons.

Your talking of a gun section - A battery is made up of sections, a section can be a single gun but normally 2 guns and very occasionally 3 guns. Generally 4 or more guns is considered a battery.

Unfortunately my leaders will not stack with cavalry or artillery :-(.

Have been in touch with support and Rich is looking at the issues now.

Thanks
