Well, I had some trouble getting logged on, but it's OK now.

Looking forward to playing -- these games so different from ACW. Sometimes Line looks good, sometimes Column, sometimes I want to move everything in square.

For what it's worth, my Wildhagen German-English dictionary lists Oberleutnant and Leutnant for First and Second Lieutenant respectively. The English word, according to the OED, is "late 14c., "one who takes the place of another," from Old French lieu tenant." I imagine the German came from the same.

Whether this applies to 1807 is debatable
