Napoleonic Wargame Club (NWC)

Bonjour Gentelmen,

I was just looking at the Prussian army for an officer who says he is in it and I must say the organisation of the army is a tad shoddy to say the least![V]

Do we still have the Prussians under a strength limitation? They seem to have more officers awaiting placement than actual officers with unit appointments? Are they doing the rotation thing with the officers as well as the troops? [:I]

I do realise that priority is given to fighting and, dare I say it, medals, in the Prussian army but organisation is the key to success. After all the recruiting and hype from the ever vocal and honourable Generalquartiermeister der Armee General der Infanterie Scott Kronprinz "Vorwärts" Ludwig von Preußen, I was expecting an array of Grandeur!! But alas..it was...[|)][:I]

It is no wonder they find it difficult to fight without allies by their side [:D][8D]

So I assume their pay is also a little behind...HELGA....a drink for all the ophan Prussian officers in the Tavern this night [:D] and put it on my tab [:)]

(leaves as the sound of thunder from Valhalla reaches his ears - and the wild white horses of the Mad King Ludwig are heard with their wild cries on the air ... scenes of Strauss fills my head as the Prussian Gods take out their vengeance on my fellow officer!) [:D]

Soon after the bolts of lightning have consumed my good comrade Col Ellwood I reenter the Tavern.

"So how was it Helga?"

"See for yourself!"

Col. Ellwood, like Han Solo had been completely incased in a vat of brimstone, his hair tossed wildly to one side, a look of pure madness on his face, his hands outstretched in a vain gesture towards the heavens.

"Hmm, another memorial to messing around with Prussia eh?"

With that Napoleon enters the Tavern. "Take that thing out of here. Get my torch out Helga."

"By your leave Emperor Napoleon."

(Note: Helga is neutral but still knows how to properly address a monarch)

They haul Col Ellwood out to the square. Sounds of a torch being lit are heard. Soon he has been removed from his prison.

"How do you feel mon Colonel?"

"Fine your highness! Never felt better!"

(pause)

"What did you put in the torch by the way?"

"Cianide mon Colonel. Its the only way to extract GOLD from a Prussian casket."

"Much thanks mon Emperor!"

Just another day in the adventures of France vs. Prussia! [;)]

Ok my response....

Preposterous claims of nilly willy nancy games!! [:p][B)][:0] You smelly frog leg, perfume, dress wearing, wimpy men...we know you all braid each others hair on Sunday's and have pillow fights...[:D][:p][:0] Your Emperor can be folded up into a box and mailed as the court jester to every Great Royal Court in Europe. I mean seriously, you have heroes named Michelle, Grouchy, Louise, Grand Pooba, and Poopy Pants...oh don't forget General de Brigade Fluffen Nutters...[:D][B)][:0][}:)]

There is but 1 officer awaiting placement in our beloved Army...I think you may have misread our website...not surprised they only teach up to 5th grade at the Ecole...[8][}:)][:D][8D]

You will find our army to be extremely efficient and our websites crisp, clean, organized and medal filled...unlike your hodge podge of French pages...[:D][B)]

So off to Valhalla you will go...the Death Head Hussars and the Four Horseman are coming for you...my white charger waits for you...[:D][B)][:0][:p]

Beware all young French officers...the Prussian Devil is out looking for you...[:D]

Bonjour Gentelmen,

I have just returned from real life fronts and must congradulate the replies[:)], very good!

The new noise and visuals on the pages are more fitting I must say. However I do still see are LARGE number of inactive Landwehr officers so I suppose the rotation system is in effect.

Or are they rotating between the Russian and Austrian armies?

All said and done Prussia is always such a fine depot for R&R when pasiing through on visits to both Russia and Austria [:D]

If your French Officers like to see the Prussians you only need to stay and turn around. Routing is not very helpful. It is sometimes very tirig to hunt for your shy soldiers.[:D]
