This Hanoverian would like to propose a toast to Lt. Colonel Al Kling for his exemplary work in the creation of a new signature for all officers of the Tirailleurs et Dragons. It is my understanding that this wonderful graphic has now been uploaded for the remaining officers to access and incorporate in their future postings. I have long been an advocate of the fact that a common signature theme, much like the flag of a country, gives the officers of a unit a rallying point of which they can be proud. It has worked very well for the officers of my Hanoverian Brigade and I am pleased to see another unit pick up this tradition, and improve upon the design. I am even more pleased that this has been accomplished by four fine officers of France!

To my fellow Coalition officers, I would say this: Beware, for the Heart of France is finally stirring. Long have we witnessed the intellectualism of our opponents in the few deadly officers of France that would respond in this forum. Most of them carrying confident airs because they knew they were superior players who could readily defeat most anyone who challenged them. I hold those officers in the highest esteem, and they well know my fondness for them. This new movement is different though, and one that is most notable in my mind. For the first time in my experience, we have four French officers who are bravely moving forward as a team to form a more permanent unit, eager to learn and improve their craft, and building a bond of friendship along the way. It reminds me of my Hanoverians and the Prussian Black Menace, and I most definitely like it.

My compliments, Gentlemen of France, on a job very, very well done!

I've always been one for graphics, especially on my websites. The different Corps' having different header images, all the icons and medals. Though I did more of it overall at the iNWC than I have done here.

Still I encourage folks to do it, it is a good thing, spices it up a bit too. Good job Al, looks good... 8)

This Tirailleur officer buys a bottle of the finest vineyard vintage that the Rhine Tavern stocks to share with his fellow Tirailleurs et Dragons!, and raises a special toast to Lt. Col. Kling for his dedicated and professional work in creating the combat command's new signature: Well done, sir!
And to Brigadier Jones, I cannot agree more with you on the value of esprit de corps for a fighting force. Soon, very soon, the battle maps will be ringing with the clash of great teams of players from all the armies, I am sure!
Regards,

Cheers!

I would like to buy around for my fellow Tirailleurs et Dragons with a salute to Chef d Escadron Wencz and Chef de Battalion Schmidgall the originators of our little group, as well has Lieutenant Hodl. I am honored to a part of these fine Battlers of the enemies of Emperor Napoleon!

Thank you fine sirs, and Battle On!

One other thing, I will be charging the fine French Wine to that Happy Hanoverian Brigadier who will soon be loosing his sword, most likely to pay his bar tab.

I too will buy a round of the best in the house for the stouthearted members of the Tirailleurs et Dragons. I currently have two large battles ongoing for some considerable time with two of them..........One of the battles is without doubt the most enjoyable that I have played to date and the second one is shaping up to be more of the same.

Regards
Walt

General "Vorwarts!",
Welcome and pull up a chair, sir. Helga! Be so kind to bring a limonata for the fine officer here. Turning to the Prussian commander, the Tirailleur says, I do believe that is your preferred choice of beverage, not?
As to your question about members of the Tirailleurs et Dragons! there are at present four officers serving in the force, Lieutenant Colonel Al Kling, Chef d' Escadron Matt Wencz, Lieutenant Michael Hoedl, and myself. We are all from various formations in LGA, and have come together to create a more unified structure for team matches in battles. Currently there is one long battle underway featuring the Chef d'Escadron and myself, vs Oberst Walt Moehle of your own Prussian army, and Lieutenant Stefan Ciampoli of the Austrian army. It is the Augsburg Campaign , a 400+ turn scenario in the Austerlitz game. The four of us are also embarked upon a maneuver game to begin more indepth training for coordinated actions on the battle maps. And, the Tirailleur pauses for but a moment before continuing, it was not so long ago that two of us met a harsh fate, but a valuable lesson in battle vs Brigadier Jones and his officer known as the Shrike.
Then, his face brightened as Helga brought their drinks, and he continued. We envision the Tirailleurs et Dragons! as a sort of provisional battle corps, much like what L'Empereur was prone to making use of upon his military campaigns, drawing units together from various formations, for a brief time, to accomplish a specific mission, and then returning them to their original commands. The Tirailleurs et Dragons! is open to officers who wish to participate in such team match play, and mutual training exercises. All stuff that we borrow from observing several other of the formal Brigades serving in the club.

The Hanoverian Commander joins his Lt. Schmidgall and Herr Ludwig, sliding a glass of Jager to the venerable Prussian as he sits down. With a wink to the fine Frenchman, he says "General Ludwig and I have long been drinking this 'German Drain Cleaner' together. It is actually the fine Commander of the Black Menace that prefers lemonade. I cannot fault him for that though. There is a notable Southern gentlemen who is as yet unborn that will also drink lemonade, and make the Union forces tremble at the mention of his very name." :P :P :P

"By all means, drink up gentlemen! There is plenty more where that came from and your continued patronage is good for Helga's purse. No need to worry about my own limited funds as I am fully planning to replenish our Hanoverian coffers with the prodigious amount of coin carried by the redoubtable Marechals of France. I will, of course, be sure to send a wagon load or two of fine liquers and cigars back to headquarters for Generaal Bijl and our other senior officers to enjoy."

While we appreciate the round and I am sure my fellow officers accomplished opponents the brutal killing of Little Josephine cannot go unpunished, so I am sure your sword and maybe your head will be collected. But I am sure they will refresh you with some fine French wine first.

Regards
Lt Colonel Kling

Update:

The Chef de Battalion Schimdgall has made his peace with Oberst Walt Markgraf Moehle von Neuhardenberg Kommandeur, so I withdraw my previous statements concerning this Prussian Officer. and now I will go clean the egg off my face!

At the tavern table the officers of so many armies are sitting with one another in close camaraderie, sharing drink, food, and tales.
The Tirailleur officer nods his agreement with the Oberst for his assessement of their current engagements.
"The finest of battles they are indeed. Every bit of wit, skill, and luck are necessary in these struggles, that are shaping up to epic proportions."
