I've always found that baiting a bear trap with frog legs and garlic works well....

(More seriously. I'll typically use the boards, though on occasion may nag a past foe [:D])

I find that insults show a very low self, when you insult it does not show how well you play but how you play, dirty words comes from dirty minds! So I see why Monsieur Peters put this poll up.

???? - Cliff - everyone is joking here. If you found the comment about frogs offensive then I apologize for that member. I never meant to offend anyone with my comment on the English. I think that everyone here sees that we are poking fun at each other.

Its a poll - thats it. I had no motive towards whatever you are thinking when I put it up. Some guys started joking and it sort of got off track. I wont put up a warning about that as its useless to do that here.

Anyway, if you were offended by comments made by me and the others I apologize. Noone has it in for the French (certainly not me). Hmm, I am on the French side in the club anyway. Certainly wouldn't attack my own army! [:D]

Vive La France! (and down with the Limeys!)

Yes, even you. Ah the fond memories of clouds of skirmishers attacking me at Borodino. And the games with Mr Shevak et al. Glad to see you are still around as well.

I'm mostly into playtesting and training these days, and the occasional multiplayer; not as competitive as I was. Especially if the opponents emanated from Australia or New Zealand. Just led to premature ageing and alcoholism. I could make an exception for you I suppose. Email me if interested. Even this thread may lead to games; amazing what - and who - you can pick up.

Now General Moss old chap, we are more than happy to indulge in a bit of 'Olde World' verbal jousting and even come up and give you motherland stay at homes a good sound thrashing when the fight gets serious but lets not be dragging the good colonies into the mix of insults being bandied about here!
We from the outer ends of the earth do like a bit of biffo now and again but getting slated by you toffee noses from the motherlands is a bit much. Tie-hoe or we could just be at you in waves...all six(?) of us!! [:D]
You Sir have never even had the pleasure of swapping cannon fire and sword thrusts with me yet either! Cheeky bugger!![:p]

Bill!

The different views of political opinion and belief have started enough fights in this club without bringing in the specter of SPORTING HOOLIGANS waging war over a cup!!

Oh wait a minute...we're all about starting a fight and playing it as a game....maybe we could do that!!

After all the New Zealand team (the 'All Whites' for you uneducated soccer thugs in Europe) did go through the World Cup UNDEFEATED, and without one 'star' to speak of [;)] [:D] [:p]

LOL and we've banned those horrendous horn things from the Real Man's world cup - The Rugby World Cup !!!

Andy,

From experience, there's nothing wrong with premature aging and alcoholism (well apart from what my wife tells me!) [;)]

The CUP, the CUP, the CUP!!! [:D]

Cup time - 12:30 Mountain time!

I may watch part of the match this time round. I usually watch some of the final game. Can remember Brazil vs. France. What a defensive gem that was. And Italy last time was good too.

Ok, enough divisiveness for one day. [:D]

More than a dance, we can begin by some drinks ? Helga, come on, a brandy for Sir Muddy or do you prefer anything else ?
My card is full at that moment[V] [:(]because I decided to play less to have a more interesting private lif[:)]e. Nevertheless, you will be the first I will contact when I'll have more time. It will be an honour to cross the swords with you !
