Maybe we can all work on it and get a little more friendly banter going once again!

I would say that all depends on who you are playing. I engage in gamey banter on a regular basis, as do several of my Hanoverian officers. General Schmidgall is quite the writer as well, as is Ensign Bradshaw from what I have seen. Marechals Knox and Bardon do so, as well as General Repnin and Field Marshal Muddy. General Kling is ever present, and I personally know for a fact that you are talented in this regard as well, Marechal Corbin. And, of course, there is Colonel Reaves. :D :P

There are numerous others that I have not named. The art is certainly not lost, but there are always more who could participate.

Would you like me to ask Der Wurger to sing now? Perhaps he is not too busy to provide some entertainment, and I do know how much General Kling enjoys his extended arias. :o

Why you cold-hearted Imperial b******! If I weren't an alcoholic, I would decline your proferred libation.... :x

...fortunately for the both of us...

...I seemingly am an alcoholic. Helga, the usual please and make mine a double. There will inevitably come a day when I will face this fine gentlemen on the battlefields again and, in the interim, I deem it only prudent to exercise every measure available to increase my fortitude. :D :P

Maj Gen Jones, when you say " I engage in gamey banter on a regular basis" you are referring to idle conversation as opposed to the odor that seems to drift over from Old Guard side of the tavern?

Sir that odour is the finest perfumes from the salon's of Paris. Unfortunately your peasant coalition olfactory function is incapable of recognising the difference

Helga another round here please for the Spaniard and more for that drunken Hanoverian over there.

I am not drunk! :o  :x

Well, not yet anyway....

The only time I really fall into an inebriated stupor is when you French Laddies promote 2,756 of your comrades, all at the same time, and furnish the drinks all around.

I just hate to miss out on any free booze!

Salute!

Why there are plenty of enlisted men good sir.

Everytime I take the field upon the battle maps there are tens if not hundreds of thousands of digital fantassins eager to march with the eagles against the Coalition of ancien regime walking muskets.

In order to have leaders for these legions of the new order, it is a certainty that officers are required. 8)

Naturally, Le Tondu places great trust in the selecton of his commanders, and it is up to each one of us who takes up the eagles to prove our valor and our skills against any who would gainsay all things Napoleonic.

Regards,
