Muddy,

You must be referring to a different game. Last time I checked the Prussian Advance Guard was being crushed and relief was blocked by the beaten zone of a French Grand Battery. 8)

I'm trying to persuade Chuck to defer his departure long enough for us to complete the game.

Regards,

Paco

I am very sad to learn the dismission of my old good friend Chuck. I know all the work he did do for the french army. Even when he was ill he follows his work in the service of the club. I don't want to enter in polemic with President Jones but I think President Jones had do a lot to drive Chuck (and Paco) to the dismission. Anyway, as I don't see this club without my old good friend, I prefer to resign myself and ask to be in the reserve of the french army.
President, Cic, officers change but the Club stay and it is the most important

Long live to NWC

Please do not leave. The core of any army is it senior officers. Those who can recall the good old days and who you can swap stories in the tavern, ahh Eugene, where fore art though with your ompha band :D . Every time a member resigns over this, we lose as a whole.

I tell you here and now, the rights, privileges and traditions of the French army will be protected

John

I forget to congratulate you for your promotion to the French CIC. I am sure that the French Army will be well commanded.

To be frank with you I stayed in the French Army to help in case of necessity. I did do it and let my responsibility every time I considered that a "young" officer had the capacity and would do better than me. It was a great problem for me when I left the CIC post to choose between you and Chuck. I choosed Chuck considering that as President (or former President) you would see no objection to see a motivate officer become CIC. I know that you are in the service of the club.

I left the French CIC post with a quietly Cabinet. In the Cabinet we had some debate (ask for Scott !) but we always tried to find a medium way to satisfye everyone instead of to vote immediately (and then to make a winer and a looser). To see the present situation I have the impression that something is broke. Paco is an historical french player. Chuck was with you, the most motivated french officer that I never see. As I consider that a failure is the responsibility of the chief, I suppose that the dismission we have is the Responsibility of our President. I read his explanations, and I can understand this is very difficult for a CIC to see his authority contested by a Cabinet vote. It's a mistake ! I think. Even I can understand the President Jones' point of view. Of course,I don't know what occured exactly in the Cabinet. Of course I could discuss the Jones Version with the rules of our club. But I think this is unecessary. In my opinion, President Jones (and may be some others) have to think about his (their) lack of diplomacy and explanations for the next time such a situation would occured.

Anyway, I hope all the best for the club, including President Jones and to the french army

Your friend

Thanks for the Sauternes ! You remember that this is my favorite wine !
I am in the inactive reserve now. I am too old to fight (even I have sometimes some intentions to have a good fight against those who drives my two good old friends in to the inactive reserve. We are here to play game and the game is always the best solution. But I am not sure they accept to play and not sure that I have the time to do it !)

So my last round in the Rhine will be for your past and future victory.

To the glory of general Colin Know !

Paco, my friend

I understand that you will stop to lead the french army to the victory ? You are an incon for me and may be the best french player that I ever seen (sorry to Chuck that I never beat !). Remember the only multi I played with you  I always ask for your advices ... etc. I was terribly bowring ! and you never proposed me a new game   Surely I would do the same. So accept my apologizes for this experience.
The list of my memories with you is too long. Please keep in touch with me like I will continue to be in touch with Chuk if you decide to leave the club.

Best regards

Yann

Yann,

I am very sorry to read you are leaving too. This is truly a sad occassion. You have long served the Club and it is a shame to see such a good member as you leave. I agree we did have our debates in the Cabinet, but we were always able to find a resolution that worked for all. I got tired of how the new Cabinet was and left in October. Little did I know even more struggle would come.

I think it is sad, as all the men involved have worked hard to make this a better Club. Mark, Chuck, Paco, you and so many others.....we forget what it is like sometimes when you've been behind a desk at the headquarters for years....

I implore you to consider staying, but understand if you don't wish to....
