I fully understand the constraints and demands of real life. We all do, but if Mark cannot find ten minutes to transfer a few websites in a two week period, it begs the question as to how he is maintaining the website(s) on a regular basis.

You can never ask anyone to do more than is possible, but you can influence their priorities as to what they consider to be important. We need about ten minutes of his time. If you do not personally feel that it is important, neither will he, and it will likely never get done. Once the webpages are transferred, we can help him to consistently maintain them. Until that first step is accomplished, everything remains at a dead stop.

Again, John, this is the essence of teamwork. Everyone does their small part so that the team and overall organization are enhanced by their efforts. Do you have any idea when he can make these transfers?

I am familiar with team work but his situation requires that we be patient. I will not discuss it any further.

I am not able to alter his priorities any more than I can re-grow my own hair :D .

Please be patient, he as the info on what needs to be done.

Yup, 'fraid to say it hits close to home.

Hey, you can blame Old Ludwig for that one. When I was elected as the Club President, he presented me with five images from which to choose for "The National Assembly" webpage. I picked the one with the most hair. :o

OK, so now 'The Rat' is my very favorite person! All I gotta do is find a disco, and I will be in business. :o :P

I once had one of my best friends years ago lean over to me in a game and say, "I just have four words for you buddy.............Hair Club for Men!"

You gotta have a sense of humor, guys. It would really suck to live without one I think. :P

Mark it would seem the Rat has recruited you into the Russian army. I'll swear that's a cossack or bashkir hat. As for my own dome I am lucky so far on that and my very attractive uniform of course diverts any attention from my ageing looks.

Also why I never remove my helmet in combat. It is bad for morale. The last time I did so, I was promptly captured by my own men thinking they had caught Davout.

Mark,
I've heard about it, but you've forgotten to add, that what was mostly amazing - that they finally freed you, but because they came to the conclusion that Marechal is much cuter and younger than you.

Not to mention smarter. :P

The thing that bothered me the most is that, due my red coat, The Rat was arguing that I should be shot as a spy! Sorry Bugger! He well knew it was I.

Just to provide an update to the membership, all of the French websites were uploaded to the NWC Server today, with the exception of the III Corps webpages that David Guegan is revising. This basically completes Step 1 of the process as I had outlined in my previous writing. Two months is quite a bit longer than I had anticipated this taking, but at least we are moving forward.

Scott Ludwig has decided not to participate in this program with the other Primary Army Webmasters (PAWs), so the Austrian, Prussian and Swedish webpages will not be housed on the NWC Server as previously agreed.

In the coming weeks, we will begin the process of transitioning most of our webpages to run directly from the NWC Server. I would request that each of the remaining PAWs who are participating in this effort designate a Secondary Army Webmaster (SAW) to assist them with the website maintenance for their respective army. Please send me an email letting me know who you have chosen and I will compile the list and post it in this thread. For the designated PAWs who are not themselves Army Commanders, it would obviously be best if you coordinate your selection with the desires of your Army Commander. To be clear, these selections are made entirely by the respective armies that will be served by the paired PAW/SAW team.

I would invite any other members of our club that possess webmaster experience, and are interested in participating in this program to assist in the maintenance of the Club Webpages that lie outside of any direct army affiliation, to send me an email expressing your interest in the position. Please include a brief summary of your experience, as well as the reason you would like to be a part of this program. I will review all such applications and discuss them with my fellow Cabinet members before any selections are made. It would be my desire that anyone serving as a Club Webmaster be able to adopt a totally neutral attitude with the focus on serving the best interests of our club as a whole, without any favoritism toward one army over another. I believe that such a coexistence between the individual armies, and the club oriented Cabinet, is the true key to the future success of our beloved NWC.

Some issues arose in the plan that made me decide to host it elsewhere for the time being. Maybe in the future....

I will say I look forward to Al's designs. :)

I was honestly not aware of any issues you had with the plan, Scott. You simply told me that you had changed your mind as you were entitled to do. I offered no argument, as I am certainly a proponent of individual thought. I would encourage you to work with the rest of us as a member of our assembled team to improve the proposed system in order to achieve the greatest benefit possible for our club. We would love to hear any good ideas you may have.

Al has indeed worked very hard on improving and standardizing LGA’s webpages. I think we all look forward to the unveiling of his most recent creations. I would also like to extend my deepest respects to his Army Commander, John Corbin, for possessing the foresight to grant him the approval to move forward in this endeavor. Together, they are making great progress for LGA which does nothing but add an overall benefit to our club. My sincere compliments, gentlemen!
