One possible method of modeling a body of troops that spent the whole historical battle wandering about here or in 1815 could be use the withdraw feature.
Start the corps or have it arrive as a reinforcement, and then later have it disappear from the map, then reintroduce it as a further reinforcement. Variable percentages to all appearances and disappearances, and variable entry points for the entry/re-enty could impact play.
Then neither player would know for sure how long or if said troops will be available which could lead the owning player funneling the flow of battle toward the troops to use them before the leave, or the other player may try to drive toward the anticipated "hole in the line" when said troops vanish only to find the withdrawal didn't trigger.
Just a thought.
