If you read are ever played min Fgs it was any unit that belong to the French Guard. The next best would be Saxon Cheval. And last would be the six or four Cheval de Art. But in hp and other broad games its the big guns?

Thanks everyone. This is great food for thought. I enjoyed Bill's poetry. Nice touch! This thread or a variation of it might find its way into July's NWC Newsletter. I know an author who was considering this topic for an article.

I like the Russian 12-gun batteries of 12 lbers; very nasty.[xx(] Keeping them together rather than extended line yields killing firepower.
