Having read the various comments, it's clear the scenario was more balanced than the results (9 French victories out of 10) would seem to indicate.

It was certainly an enjoyable scenario to play (and, after playing 2/3 of the turns, effectively lose) ... although I've managed to get into the next round by default.

Not everyone.....the cat still likes me

I felt that going in for any tournament, from past experiences, means I may get drawn against somebody who I've had past issues with; or rather, they have had issues with me. One person's flippant joke is another's national insult......all I said to the Russian was Siberia is cold and I got a very sharp rebuke for that [made mental note and added to things NOT to mention]. In fact even the word Russian was taken as an insult by one. As for the Colonials, well....

Anyway the tournament seems to be going along well and highest regards to all those that have participated.

The Colonials sir? [:D] Oh yeh we are the ones who are better at sport than the motherland [:D].

Siberia must have warmed up with global warming a.

Helga more drinks here for General's Moss and Blackburn.

Andy,

I want to believe the problem was not in you. Most of us (not only in Russia) do not like the cliches associated with nations, countries etc. Sometimes it really makes people lose their mind. We all ought to be more tolerant.[:I]

Anyway, you may be sure one russian is always glad to fight by your side[8D]

Monsieur’s these games were set up as the Napoleonic war in Europe, and I feel now this is my OP why should it start WWIII here. There are no colonials and mother land after two or three hundred years. Its time for a change, in many of our thinking. IMO there should be team play French vs Allied but there isn’t ?

Who? Is he a member of the NWC? Or is he some kind of infamous Antipodean sheep botherer immortalised with a statue?

No no he is an open side flanker for the Wallabies. Excellent managed to get a mention of the rugby in.[:D] Always bet on Black well except for world cup years.

But seriously Steve W was awesome even for an Aussie. He epitomised a determined and hard nosed work ethic. One of my favourite all time Aussies. After of course the Don and Skippy [:)]

It hurts to admit it but yes, got to agree with Colin about Steve W. Solid bloke. I'm a big admirer of Glenn MgGrath too. Now you didn't expect that from a Pom did you.[:D]
