 Oui, oui, mon Cajun monsieur! He has been doing A LOT of playing for our team in playtesting. Pierre the Formidable he certainly is. If we got club points for our playtest game my guys and I would all be Marechals many time over! Quel dommage but oh well - I enjoy the game testing too!

Thank you gentlemen for your good words.

The campaign is heating up so I will have to step up my game.

I mentioned that if I am elected that everyone will receive shiny pieces of metal, well I have upped that to many, yes believe it, many pieces of shiny metal. Let my opponent top that.

 I could use A LOT of shiny pieces of metal about now! Ebay auctions having tanked in the last few weeks. Email me on the side and my slimey campaign promoter, Herr Silas Greenback, and I will be happy to listen to your offer!

Generalmajor Bill Herzog Peters von Dennewitz,

You figured out the shiny pieces of metal will be in the form of bayonets gleaming in the sun as the French columns advance. My supporters will receive then on the parade ground. For my adversaries it may well be an unpleasant exchange. :D

Pierre was here when I first the joined the club many years ago. He has always worked for it's betterment, sometimes behind the scenes. Speaking for myself I say it is difficult over an extended period of time to keep up a high level of involvement and work. For most of us that will wax and wane over the years. I have to say I am disappointed to see Pierre's ability, character, or intentions impuned on. This post should never have been allowed to proceed so far down this line and I question the fairness of the election.

First off, thank you, Pierre, for standing as a candidate.

I have been around for a while and the last time we had a contested election and the issues that followed, I certainly appreciated the administrative side of the club all the more. The fact that many of your contributions have been out of the limelight does not diminish the qualities you bring to the table.

I am all for a vigorous debate on the issues that members see as important, but let's keep it civil. We are officers after all.

Regards,

I totally agree with Jeff, Bill and others here. I would like to see one of the key things the new president do is insist on polite and civil behaviour here in our tavern.

After all officers should be gentlemen!

A round for Pierre and Mark for putting their names forward. Leading the club can be a thankless task at times I suspect.

Salute!

I agree with field Marshall Ed that we should keep the discussion honourable and thus have a fair competition. Indeed Pierre is one of the oldest members of the club, and for that alone he deserves respect. I suggest we delete some of the un-fair postings.

And with regards to Mr Mark, well he is from the AAA. So it is not that important how long you are enlisted, all officers have outstanding qualities anyway!

Although a lot of you good ole boys thank that a game is a good way of dealing with this to me it should go down to a vote. Monsieur Jones might thank that he a good player and he may well be but Pierre is a above normal player who has been playing for more then twenty years. I say that all the members of this club not just the good ole boy best players the Elite of the club should determined who is the next leader of this club. If you don't vote you get what you vote for!
