I tried to get into a game with Colin but he said he had to cut wood for his parents, finish his "honey do list" for his wife, take the kids to the park. Etc.

Ok, just kidding, I am swamped with game design work and probably am overloaded with games considering the amount of work I have to do. Will try and get caught up today with game files folks. (2)

Bill,

After all the threats and boasts that you have tossed around the tavern of late, I find it very suspicious that now, when Colin tries to take you up on your offer, you are unable to make an appearance. How convenient.

You have grown much too accustomed to your new uniform. Some might say that your second tour in the Prussian army might make it easier to acclimate to the expected norms of behavior. I prefer to think that it is the expert tutelage of Herr Ludwig that has increased your level of bombacity at a rate directly opposite that of your willingness to take the field.

There is only one excuse that can be tolerated; perhaps a new title is in our not to distant futures? :o

Cheers!

Actually Jeff, I emailed back and forth with Colin and he knows I am just kidding. He did accept a challenge with me but I am in two games and barely able to keep them going as I try and finish a game. So do not take it seriously. He can only take on ONE game at a time and in all fairness to him if I did accept the game I would only be able to do may a file a week.

These are the two sites that can help with this project. I won't be able to lead this project or do any work for it. I have too much going on as is....

Maybe someone out there can put these standards on the units in their command. And when they lose them they can be removed till won back. I would if I had knowledge of computers and knew how to put them on each unit in the club. Just maybe it could be something that Div commanders can do besides tacking muster!

Thanks for the other two links, Scott. Very good stuff and always useful!

Cliff, I will take a swing at this when I can get a bit of time. Are you thinking that the standards for each unit will be displayed next to the unit in the Army's web pages? Are you also thinking that the captured standards will be displayed in the officer's forum signature? :?:

That the standards become part of every unit signature some of the members don't have there unit or any thing that has to do with this club. I get e-mail then I have to figure out by going to the club page what unit they are in an what army. Just a way of Id people and keeping them in the games some will go AWOL after a month of play and some will say I get back to you well I thank that calls for me declaring major victory ( don't start something you can't finish). All of us have lives also outside of this club!

This is a special case for this medal, it is a part of the Armee collection on a regular basis and has normal criteria as well. I made it an alternate awarding too.....

Colin raises a good point - maybe I should add Jeff, Paco & Tomasz in??? Well, Jeff for sure I think we shall see....just because he is constantly picking a bone with me....

Mssrs.,

I have clearly stayed off the battlefield for far too long. I am currently on vacation on my Acadian Estates, but upon my return on 25 September, I shall accept the first challenger willing to meet me on my favorite field: The historical "Hunting Davout" scenario from Campaign Eckmuhl.

Yours, etc.

Paco

Monsieur's one thing is that you should never fight on the same field of honor to be called a true warrior like the Emperor said "after you been in a hundred pitch battles then give me advice"! Change your game and then we will see how they fair!

Mon cher Colonel,

I HAVE been in 100+ pitched battles, so I am amply authorized to "give advice".

Sire i humbly submit that the battle should be their's field of choice. I too have been in 100+ but not winning them all has given me experience in all games.

Al,

I'll be back on the warhorse on Sunday. I'll get a file to you then.
