Oh no Msr. Universal is a studio. Barbecue is a method of cooking, and you said the French were culinary experts. ;-)

It's global! In France, it's popular to do the Méchoui (imported from North Africa) or cook meat on an open fire.

Bar-b-que favorite - strip steaks marinated in Lawry's Italian dressing for one hour. Then placed on grill for 5-7 mins. (depending on heat, altitude, etc.) ea. side until medium rare! (5 mins. usually did the trick in Los Angeles - 300 feet above sea level)

Absolutely delicious. Makes great appetizers too for larger parties. You can cut the meat up for "bob" sticks too.

My family happened on to this (it was mom's creation) when I was a kid.

How about those Kings! :wink:
