Yeah there were many Africans that served and served well in World War I and in fact the leader of Germany's African units is the only undefeated German commander of World War I.

Honestly Cliff, the door is open, if you want rank, come to home to Prussia....you'll be a top ranked general upon transfer. :) You'll have a command that will listen to you and respect you....you know I will, we've been friends for years and though we had one or two minor hiccups, we've still maintained it.....you know you'll always get a fair deal with me.

Come to Prussia, home of all those who are disheartened with their armies...how do I know, ask the 7 or so guys who did the same over the years....

I am not advocating poaching from armies, but sometimes if someone is upset with their force a change might be just what they need...

for you Cliff

François Capois, surnamed Capois La Mort (Capois the Death), was a rebel slave born in Port-de-Paix on the habitation of Laveaux Lapointe. His military careers began in 1793 after a visit of Toussaint L'Ouverture at Port-de-Paix. His rank to the army changed quickly. First to lieutenant, then captain of the 3rd battalion. François Capois is best known for his extraordinary courage and especially for his herculean bravery at the "Bataille de Vertières" , in which the General Viscount of Rochambeau, Commander of Napoleon's Army at Saint Domingue, called a brief cease-fire to congratulate François Capois.
On November 18, 1803, Jean Jacques Dessalines ordered Capois to take over a fort situated on a hill. Capois advanced three times with a demi-brigade to fight the French Armies, but he and his troops were driven to the bottom of the hill by the French Military. Boiling with rage, Capois mounted his horse and advanced for the fourth time, asking his men to follow him by saying: ''Forward! forward! bullets are only dust of the earth". While he was at the head of his army, his horse was hit by a cannon ball. He fell, but took up his sword, got up and ran to place himself again at the head of his black soldiers by shooting: ''Forward! forward!". His cap, garnished with plumes was then shot off . He replied to this insult, which left his head vulnerable, by drawing his sword and again threw himself into the assault. The French General Rochambeau shouted: ''Bravo! bravo! bravo!" and ask for a cease of fire. A French staff Officer mounted his horse and rode toward the Intrepid Capois la Mort and, with a great voice he shouted: '' General Rochambeau sends compliments to the General who has just covered himself with such glory." Then he saluted the Haitian warriors, returned to his position and the fight resumed. The next morning, a French Officer followed by his companions, rode to the headquarters of the Haitian Army with a caparisoned horse and delivered it with these words: " Captain-General Rochambeau offers this horse as a mark of admiration to the black Achilles, to replace his that the French Army regrets having killed.'' Today in Haiti, many songs are made in honor of this courageous soldier that Capois la Mort was. Forever his heroic acts will be admired.

regards

Cliff, what Scott is offering IS inclusion. The armies in this club are fictitious. The color of the uniform you wear really means nothing at all. What is important is to be associated with real people with whom you get along. This one aspect changes the experience in this club from one of utter frustration, to one of sublime satisfaction.

As I have told you before, this is a good deal. It solves the problem of inclusion, rank, responsibility, all of it in one brave movement. I urge you to give it the most serious consideration. I really think you will be happier if you transfer to the Prussian Army. I honestly do.

Like I said before if you want to know why and my side of this ask the CnC of the Allies President of the club. Am sure he will tell you with out me starting any thing.

I am actually not the C-in-C of the Coalition Forces, Cliff. That distinction belongs to my commanding officer, Generaal Marco Bijl. I am just his Chief of Staff in the Anglo-Allied Army.

You know, if you join the Prussian Army, you will outrank me. It will probably take me two more years to match you. Literally.

I say, "WOW!" I lost half my points when I transfered, and when promotions were announced last I was only moved up to (Lt Col) when I had enough points for (Col).

Talk about special treatment. That's okay, but Cliff please hush up about descrimination. The leadership is bending over backwards to accomidate you. We do want everyone in the club to enjoy it and have fun. If this effort doesn't show that collectively we care, then nothing will, and then you may want to move on.

As for you Al am sure many of your follow postal workers have hear that same BS about special treatment, only a racist would say special treatment. Now a friend would say let me see what this is all about but a person like you would say what about me and wimp like a baby. I will take that officer as soon as possible to bring this matter to a close and still be know as Dumas who went over the Allies and not killed by that dogg Nap in Italy.

Another Hero of Haiti female General another beef I had with the LGA

Suzanne Belair, mostly known as Sanite Belair, was one of the few female soldiers who fought during the Haitian Revolution. History fails to keep much about her ealy life, but it is believed by many credible historians, that, Sanite Belaire was born in 1781, in what is now known as "L'Artibonite"
Sanite, and her husband Charles Belair, are responsible for the uprising of almost the entire slaves population of L'Artibonite, against their masters.
Unsuccessful, they both got captured by the french soldiers, on October 5th 1802, and received the death sentence. Her by decapitation and her husband by firing squad. She refused to die by decapitation and demanded to be excuted just like her husband, whom she just bravely watched being shot to death by a couple of French soldiers. Now it was Sanite turn. She kept both her eyes opened, and as they were firing. She shouted to the slaves who of course were forced to watch the scene, in attempt to dispel the Revolution idea.
" Viv Libète anba esklavaj!" " Liberty, no to slavery!"
Today, still not much is known about Sanite Belaire, but she is formally recognized by the Haitian Government as a National Heroine of Haiti and needless to say: a true freedom fighter, and surely an inspiration for many women fighting for their freedom, one way or the other throughoutt the word.

Welcome to the winning side, General Dumas! :P :P :P

I think you made a very good choice, Cliff. I think you will be a lot happier now.

Once you get your new change of clothes, please be sure to stop by the Hanoverian table and we will buy our newest ally a drink (or twelve!).

Cliff,

You are violating club rules calling me a racist. However, your posts of this past summer and fall indicate you have no respect for this club.

An apology is in order, sir. I am not a racist.
