Yea but here it starts:
"LINES OF TORRES VEDRAS"
wouldn't that mean work on the engine?
I just remember that work had to be done on the last Civil War game as that added the ability to construct fortifications.
We may not have to construct them but I guess they might need more than the fortifications in the current games depict.

I'm happy with the current system of 'sunken roads', forts and arbatis (sp?) to represent the fortifications. It's The Lines of Torres Vedras not Verdun
The lines would be already fixed in place, no such construction within a scenarios. Perfection is elusive and delays the action, lets go for playability and an equitable solution to get the job done

And what's wrong with having a new force of Q Class 'guerillas' who are tied to a fixed point on the map and can only range a determinate number of hexes from that point e.g. a village, a chateau etc?

Mr Jones, your imagination and colourful dreams are running away with reality when making such statements concerning L'Guard

There is nothing wrong at all with it but it just means more and more work has to be done and if the current Dev team is shrinked to nothing we surely won't get anywhere with the development of such a title.

Well, you got me Mike. The last time I slaughtered the French Old Guard in wholesale fashion, I was using C Morale Russian Infantry. I admit that it really is a bit tough to accomplish with pike armed, E Morale Opelchenie. :P

Yes the Russians have a propensity for mindless slaughter. They only realize they are beat when they are dead! Makes waging a glorious war far less so, they lower the whole tone of the thing! Throw cossacks and the spanish and it all degenerates into a filthy low class brawl!

The western forces are so much more civilized and really know how to plunge into death or glory in a much better dressed fashion
