Just as an update, I completed the Tournament Webpage last night. It is currently being checked for errors, but will be posted tonight. The design of the scenario for the Single Player Division will be completed by the weekend. It will then be forwarded to an independent reviewer to check the play balance. All of this will be completed by Monday, October 15th.
The deadline for the registration remains October 15th, so officers who are interested need to respond by then. I will make the Tournament Pairings webpages by the following weekend and post them for the participants to view. I will also follow that posting up with an email which is my habit. The tournament matches will begin on Monday, October 22nd.
Todd did not realize the progress I have made in the last few days, or know where the scenario design stood. I am sure he was also unaware of the independent scenario reviewer, as I just concluded that arrangement with Colin Knox within the last hour. November was a safe answer and I am glad he chose discretion.
Sharpen your swords and saddle your horses, gentlemen! The battles will be upon you before you know it!
And get those registration requests to us, especially my fellow Coalition officers for the MP Division as they seem to be lagging a bit behind. The number of players in the Single Player Division has some flexibility, but we must have an equal number of pairing between the French and Coalition forces in the MP Division for it to work. If there is an imbalance, we will no doubt be asking for volunteers on the less numerous side to double up. We would prefer not to have to do very much of that, so enlist now. The honor of your armies are at stake, gentlemen.
(Did I mention the fact that
every player that on the winning side of the MP Division will receive a medal? It's a 50-50 chance guys. Army Bragging Rights and a shiny medal to prance about in the faces of your vanquished foes. You can't beat that with a stick!)
