2015 On the eastern front the French III Cavalerie Corps has moved though the town of Marbais with the Prussian General Major Jurgass Kavalerie hot in pursuit. The 1st e Carabiniers were the first regt. That he ran into in command was Col Roge.
The 2nd e Carabiniers were trying to escape from the Bois de L’ Euchere when attacked by the Prussian 2. Neumark Lw- Kav of the 3rd Kavalerie-Brig.

The French hold the town of Bousval with Legers Regts.
The Prussian Jagerdet’s of the IR 8th hold the town of Maransart.

2015The French hold the town of Bousval with Legers Regts.

The French are attacking Hobe command that is dug in at Mon Flaisir farm. French Infantry of the I or III Corps where pushing towards Ophaim. There is very Heavy movement on the road from Nivelles. Hobe forces are keeping the French 37eme and the 15th eme Legers under Col Vernier of the III Corps from overrunning their position.
2030 hrs.: The fantassins and cavalerie between Mon Flaisir Farm and Maison du Roi thrust with bayonets and swing their sabers as they engage the determined Prussian defenders!
2030 At this half an hour Dragoons of the French III Cavalerie Corps are seen northwest of the town of Marbais. The fears of Prussian General Major Jurgass Kavalerie might become real as the French III Cavalerie 1st e Carabiniers disappear from sight and the 300 Cuirassier’s also and the 400 more are not seen.
It seem strange to Prussian General Major Jurgass that they are running that can mean only one thing in his mine a trap is being laid out by General de Cavalerie Kellermann. With the Bois de Hutte not far from the fleeing French Cavalerie, his fears begin to mount, will the French III Cavalerie Corps escape from his hands or will they trap him in some way.

The French are attacking Hobe command that is dug in at Mon Plaisir farm the 55th eme the 33rd eme 15th e Legere 37th eme from the III and I Corps.

2045 Prussian General Major Jurgass Kavalerie is moving Northwest of the Bois de Hutte, the 5th Husaren and the 2/11 Husaren ,the 10th Husaren charge the French 1st Cuirassiers who look like a rear Guard for the fleeing French III Cavalerie Corps.

At the town of Maransart the French are attacking with line Infantry from and unknown Corps at this time as the skimmers trying to hold the town with reinforcements on the way.
General Major Steninmetz moves has Divisions up to reinforce General major Hobe at Mon Plaisir farm.
Sergeant Ruff of the 1/IR 20 was in the heat of the fighting before the road Maison du Roi he stated that the French Infantry came at his regt by Brig at lest 3 eme Battalions led by a Col and they charged at the double .

Sergeant Ruff of the 1/IR #20,”He states that the Brandenburg Regts were ready to take on what ever the French had to give”. The first clash was powerful the French came at them with a four company front three deep. After his Regt fired the French Attack Column poised just for a moment then fired killing all in the front line of his 825 man Battalion but the 1500 man French Battalions were no match for the 1650 two Brandenburg Regts. The French fell back leaving a lot of their number dead and wounded on the road floor.
2100 hours the 1st e de Carabiniers charged was disordered led by Col. Roge who was wounded and had to be carried from the battle field. With confidence in his troopers he led them against 5th Husaren and the 2/11 Husaren, the 10th Husaren beating them and routing them in the process. Only to be charged by the 1st Dragoner (Konigin) 488 of them of the 1st Kavallerie -Brig who bumped into 400 3rd e Cuirassiers who were also disordered

French Infantry and Artillery are sighted North of Sart-Dame-Avelines, moving south slowly.French line Infantry are trying to push the Jagers of the IR 8 out of Maransart the left flank of the III Korps.French Legers hold Bousval and are eating fresh vegables and enjoying the townsfolk’s.
Three Regts of Dragoons are sighted west of Bousval moving slowly towards General Lt. Thielemann left flank also.

Members of the French IV Corps under General de Brig LeCapitaine the 75eme and the 59th eme are trying to break through the right flank of the III Korps. Only to be met by IR 30th and the IR 8, IR 31, IR20 1/5 Kumark and the IR27 under Major Welling.
While the French IV Corps were attacking the Prussians the Imperial Guard Leger Cavalerie where moving against the Prussian right.
The 2eme of French Lancers also attacked the routed Jagers killing all.

After overrunning Le Jafs the French Legers of the 15th eme of the III Corps supported by other eme’s of the III and I Corps was attacking Varral. Varral is hold by Prussian Fus of the IR7 and 29 Fus.
June 15th, 1815 2100 hrs: The final hour of is waning on this opening day of the campaign. At Ophaim the fighting rages in the village and orchards as the battalions assault the position
Flames streak the sky at the villages of La Jafs and Varral as the fantassins force the defenders out.

At Maison du Roi, the French continue to press their advance as well, adding charging squadrons of cavalerie into the combat!

And the clash of sabers echoes loud through the air at Marbais!

2130 1200 French Cavalerie of the III Cavalerie Corps have withdraw to a defensive position near the town of Thyle.
The 2nd Pomm Lw Kavalerie charged the 2nd e de Carabiniers putting minor damage on them as they escaped out of Bois de L’ Euchere.
