ImageAs for L'Empereur, he was taking one of his famous naps - now that the day's activities were over.
Soon he would awaken and read the reports, and prepare his plans for the second day.

ImageRoustam, his faithful Mameluke guardian was standing watch at the door to his room, denying access to all.
Only the Chief of Staff, Marechal Soult was to be vouchsafed entrance at this hour.

Image As the dead and dying are removed from the field of honor and the dead are buried in mass graves and the sound of lambs are heard above the grouping of Arms, for the coming killing day slowly approaches as fathers in units say goodbye maybe for ever to their sons and brothers kiss one another for the last time the men turn their heads to the sky and bow and pray...

Image0430 “Ah, at last we have daylight with 40 hex visibility, and now the dance of war continues” said Napoleon to his Chief of Staff Soult.
Image0430 At this hour in a half General Lt. Roeder get his depleted Kav command in some kind of battle order somewhere north of the hamlet of Loupoigne. The morning air had the smell of gun power in it as the Cannons begin to roarImage. My unit was sent on another assignment do we were small in number at less I had a command and an important mission!

Image0515 The next move
ObeastLt Lutzow was able to remove his depleted Brig from the claws of the French Infantry that were bent on the destruction of that Brig. Some 700 line infantry where hot on their heels as we speck.
ImageThe IV French Cav Corps wanted nothing to do with OberstLt Marc Bummer cannons as they beat a hasty retreat from out in front of his cannons.
