Napoleonic Wargame Club (NWC)

Gents,

Recently bought a new pc with VISTA installed. The problem I'm seeing is when auto scroll is used the map "whites out" except for a small rectangle of visible hexes after scrolling is stopped. When you right click on the map it returns to view. Same happens when in smooth scroll and using the margin button/arrow to scroll.

The games were installed into C drive folders, not the default program files folder.

Any ideas out there?

Have you applied the patch for each game available from HPS site? Most of them contain "Fixes for Vista compatibility.". Maybe this is what you are looking for?

Yes, all patches have been downloaded and unzipped in the game folders. I've never seen this anomaly before.

I had this problem on my VISTA machine also with CE, until I turned smooth scroll off. Now I only get it occasionally turing email replay, when the multiple ADF fires on the same unit are occurring. I believe disabling smooth scroll was the only change I made, other than installing patch V1.12.

Fixed the problem. The update patches did not unzip to the game folder apparently. Downloaded them again to make sure then unzipped again into the folder. All works well now.
