Has anyone bought this game? If so how well does it play?

http://www.slitherine.com/games/cnaw

I am looking at the screenshots and its looks fairly straightforward.

I like how they have different campaign scenarios.

Its turn based on it has PBEM functionality.

I've just bought it but have not yet tried it. To busy playing HPS and AGEOD games at present.
I also have Campaigns on the Danube, Napoleon in Italy, and Crown of Glory Emperors Edition in the Matrix series.

Give us a rundown on the game if you do crack open the box and install it.

I would like to hear if its worth the money.

I have yet to buy AGEOD yet. Own the ACW game but not the Napoleonic title.

I've been playing COGEE for over a year and a half, and am presently involved in 3 games. With house rules it's played very well, and has been intensely entertaining! The house rules account for some bugs which have'nt yet been corrected, but certainly don't detract from the games enjoyability!
The games I'm with are up to turns 179, 139, and 189 out of total of 273 turns. We aim for a 24-48 hour turn around but at times are unable to achieve it!

Presently the games are on a delay as we have'nt heard from one of the players in over a week. He's normally very dependable so I'm sure he'll be back in touch.
Occasionally people become ill, or go on vacations which can put a game on hold for a little bit.

But, on the whole a very fun game with real players. I've dabbled with the computer opponent merely to learn the system. Playing real people are what makes it so much fun.

Regards,
Lt Gray
